Brunch Places in Singapore

Brunch

Brunch is the only reason for waking up early on a Sunday morning.

If you are the type that can never wake up on time for breakfast, there are restaurants like Hatched and Wild Honey serving all day breakfast. I am always excited by the idea of having weekday brunch at Prive, or Jones the Grocer.

All Day Breakfast, All Day Brunch, Sunday Brunch, Breakfast Buffet, Weekday Brunch, Weekend Breakfast. Oops, but I just love typing that.

I love making lists. I’d think all day long about all the possible places, call every single one of them to double-check they are indeed serving brunch and jot down all the information. There’s no need to fret the next time anyone ask me for recommendations of the best brunch places in Singapore.

I hope this list of brunch places in Singapore will help on your hunt for the perfect breakfast. And just in case you are wondering, my all time favourite restaurants for brunch are Riders cafe, Barracks Cafe and Privé bakery café.

I will be adding this list to the top of my Delicious page page, if there’s any good places for brunch that I’ve missed out, feel free to let me know and I’ll add on to this list. Please call the restaurant to confirm a reservation before going down.

Your job is to check out all the brunch places and report back here every time you try a new restaurant for brunch. Are we clear on this? Good, get on with it.

Thanks for the list! More places I can grab eggs bene from…I will have to put in my vote for Riders, it has hands down the best Norwegian Salmon I’ve ever tasted. Ahhh, the poached eggs…

You’ll have to add Kith in. It’s such a cozy place. And the strawberry yogurt milkshake is so superbly thick?

Yes! There is something ‘wrong’ with enjoying brunch while everyone else is working! But soon I’ll be on the wrong side of the fence because I quit my job! Yay!

Another amazing page to save to my favourites. Thank you so much! (: Also, at this rate Brad, all the money that I’m going to earn during summer will be spent entirely on food. (: I suppose it would be for an incredibly satisfactory and worthwhile cause though! Thanks so much again. You’re the best! xx

caibao: Aww.. thanks for the nice words! which place do you want to try?

danghl: HAHA evil you! but same as me. So usually it’s dinner by the time you wake up? :p

Tesia: Whoa, you quit yr job? gonna take a break or already got a new job waiting? either way, i reckon it’s time to check out some brunch places

Dorothy: Everyday a sunday brunch? that’s a bit ambitious! haha i’d think that for most people, they need to start by having brunch every sunday

emily: you need to make reservations for Valentino’s, otherwise confirm no tables one. try again this weekend yea

kitty: I’m glad that you find my blog too! HAHA drop by often and leave comments ok? : )

I will be checking these out in the next Sundays to come. As of now we have about 43 Sundays left. Maybe I should reserve all my dining out for special occasions. And when I say special, I did mean that as Sunday Brunch.

  17. ladyironchef

    March 2nd, 2010 @ 1:11 am

Ah, I’m tempted to try Brewerkz (I reckon they have sausages), Jonas the Grocer (love the place), and…Graze only because I heard they have Eggs Benedict. Hmmm….

  20. Alan
    March 2nd, 2010 @ 10:07 am

As i lay in bed typing this now…my mind AND stomach is dying for a place that serves not to expensive eggs benedict…and i cant wait for Sunday to try a Sunday brunch…anyone knows WHY they seem to be so expensive?…

  22. ladyironchef
    March 3rd, 2010 @ 12:54 am

Josephine: i heard that coffee bean breakfast is not too bad? what did u try there before?

Niki: lots of places have eggs benedict! Graze is not bad, but slightly more pricey. I’d recommend epicurious, riders and prive : )

alan: haha because you are having it in a restaurant. Try to prepare it yourself? Frying an egg, with a couple of sausage/bacon and sauteed mushroom isn’t too hard. But i’m too lazy. haha

    adel: Have fun brunch-ing!

i’ve been admiring your blog for the past year since i found it – always been my culinary bible whenever i go to Spore! btw i need to decide for any better place for sat/sun brunch with kids. i’m deciding among these places: graze, flutes at the fort, district 10 or wild rocket? or should i go somewhere else? i like the place with upscale ambiance yet cozy atmosphere, view and good food! we’ve been having brunches at the raffles, au jardin les amis, four seasons, greenhouse at ritz, brasserie les saveurs at st regis. and this time we prefer the place that has outdoor sitting with view. please kindly advise… thanks so much!

    HI Lady Iron Chef!

Love the pics you take and your reviews. I am trying to decide between Ritz, Four Seasons, Regents and Fullerton for champagne brunch for my birthday thats is in 2 weeks time. Which do you think has the best balance interms of ambience, quality and variety of food, value for money?

    Thank you!

I just had Sunday brunch at Senso at Club Street today. It was superb – great, fresh food, impeccable service and wonderfully delicious free flow prosecco. Great value and ambience too. $88++

    Hi Lady Iron Chef

Thank you so much for this marvellous post! Did you check out Gattopardo at Hotel Fort Canning? I think it’s awesome! Chef Lino (before from Domvs) lives up to his reputation by putting together this sunday brunch that serves your main course a la minute (think perfect al dente pasta & pizza hot off the woodstove oven) with live jazz music and even a wonderful kids’ corner for families!

Such a lovely list of breakfast and brunch. Appreciate your effort in making this list. Must have cost you quite some money and time to satisfy your thirst for eggs! Anyway just wondering what are the places still available for your legendary weekday “eat and enjoy while they work” theory? Because places you mentioned like jonas the grocer and epicurious seems to be unavailable during weekdays now(i read the latest comments it says so). Please advice!

Tucked away along Tomlinson road, u will find Dan Ryan’s Chicago Grill. Near Regent hotel.
Branch is available from 11am till 5pm I think.
The portions are generous, food is absolutely tasty (something abt the seasoned potatoes) and it’s very Chicago. I like their service too!

I just have to say that Strictly Pancakes was an complete let-down for us. We went on a Sunday at about 11am (which was a decent time for brunch) only to realise that they most of what was available on the menu would only be available after noon. We had effectively only 2 choices, from memory.

Next, they stashed us upstairs (shophouse layout) and completely forgot about us until probably 15 minutes later. Lastly, I felt really old there, we were surrounded by customers mostly in their teens, and the girls next to us were even applying nail polish during the entire brunch experience.

I would pay more for a better ambience and service any day.

    Hi,

May I ask why is Cafe Hacienda struck off the list? Actually thought of heading there over the weekend.

  77. ladyironchef
    August 11th, 2011 @ 10:53 pm

Kirsten: The owners of Cafe Hacienda has changed the concept to an American Diner, Roadhouse. Alternatively, if you want to try cafe hacienda’s brunch menu, Prive at keppel bay serves the same items (they are under the same owner).
