On the outside, dive bars may seem dodgy and probably not the sort of place you would ever want your folks catching you and your mates at. Tucked away in some of the tiniest cracks, these neighbourhood joints are often hard to find.

But a dive bar’s charm lies in the fact that it often sees a regular crowd, of which like-minded drinkers can feel a sense of familiarity and belonging. They may not be the most lavish—in fact far from it. But for some, these dive bars are considered home.

These are the spots where you can expect to chit chat with bartenders till the cows come home, occasionally witness some drunk-driven drama or simply get sloshed without being judged. As much as we love our bespoke cocktail bars, it’s time to give those a miss because dive bars are where the fun is at.

Here are 6 Elusive Dive Bars In Singapore Your Parents Should Never Know About.

SARA’S

Sara’s is one of the longest standing establishments in the Upper Thomson enclave. This is a place that sees patrons from all walks of life from retirees to strapping young teenagers in need of a late night tipple.

This iconic bar may seem dodgy to first-timers, but for those who live around the area, it is pretty much home. Sara’s has just about everything from beer to scotch and even some homemade cocktails that pack a punch.

217 Upper Thomson Road
Sun: 5pm – 1am

Photo Credit: One Place Bistro & Bar

ONE PLACE BISTRO & BAR

Located in Jalan Kayu, One Place Bistro & Bar is pretty hard to get to unless you drive—which is not particularly advisable if your motive for the night is to get sloshed. Their offerings include the usual suspects but many people just go for the dual beer tower promotion which is pretty decently priced.

It may also come as a surprise that their food is far more impressive than the average bar grub. The only downside is that their kitchen closes relatively early, but then again, being in Jalan Kayu, searching for a late night bite is not a difficult task.

CHIPS

From beers as cheap as S$5 a mug, to a wide range of killer cocktails to get your night started, Chips has got it all covered. Located in the incredibly dodgy ming arcade, this tiny hole-in-the-wall is a godsend for party-goers in need of a quick and cheap fix.

They also have a delicious range of bar snacks (hint: cheese fries) to go along with the ice-cold beers.

Located on the ground floor of the infamous Orchard Towers lies The Drunken Poet. This quaint hole-in-the-wall Irish pub exudes a rustic vibe that one would closely associate to Irish charm—from green bricks, barrels, mahogany furniture and the smell of Guinness.

The food menu is simple yet affordable with a few mains and bar bites to fill your tummy. Their drink offerings are pretty extensive however, many just go for the iconic Guinness draught.

MOLOTOV BISTRO & BAR

Over at Molotov, you can either go slow and have a chill drink while watching a game of football or spend the night playing drinking games with your friends—either way, this is a place you can check out if you are not up for squeezing with the crowd at Clarke Quay.

The bistro and bar can be found along the stretch of shophouses at Upper Thomson so you can bet that the atmosphere there is nothing short of exciting when night falls.

Whether you’re an overworked salaryman or a university student crumbling from the stress of whatever impending deadline there is, there’s no denying that sometimes, we all need to relax and unwind. In order to fully celebrate the weekend’s arrival, or perhaps just to enjoy a midweek break, some of us just want to get smashed and forget our worries.

Yet, the price of alcohol here in Singapore might be off-putting to some (or most), and understandably we’d need to drink a lot of it. Who’s to say it’s a luxury exclusive for the rich though? There are plenty of bars and eateries hidden in different nooks and crannies offering some of the cheapest beer towers around, as long as you know where to look.

So to save you the trouble, we’ve sought out some of the cheapest Beer Towers in Singapore!

1 TYRWHITT BISTRO & BAR

They’ve got an industrial chic vibe going on, with no gimmicky frills and choosing to focus on only the food and the drinks. During their happy hour, you can expect to get a 3L Carlsberg Tower or a Kronenbourg for S$49++! While it might not be the cheapest place on this list, their variety of bites are sure to win you over.

1 Tyrwhitt Road

While District 10 Bar & Restaurant is better known for its delicious Italian cuisine (it is, after all, an extension of Bonta), there’s no better way to enjoy a beautiful plate of pizza or pasta with alcohol. Here, they offer a promotion where you can get their 3L Asahi beer tower at only S$38++! It’s available at UE Square (Sat & Sun) and Suntec (Sat) from 5pm onwards, perfect for a weekend drink with friends.

FIVE

Sure, they’re well known for their S$5 price tag on many of their items, regardless of which concept branch you go to. But here we’re talking about beer and beyond a S$5 half pint of Kronenbourg 1664 Lager that they serve, they also offer a tower of it for just S$55 dollars. If you’re looking to get smashed in style, this is for you.

For the alcoholics (or perhaps NUS students looking for a break from the monotony of their work), you’d also be glad to know they have daily beer promotions. The most bang for the buck ones being Wednesdays for students, with beer towers at only S$39 (U.P. S$49 – S$53), and Fridays with two towers going for S$89! Worth it!

If that wasn’t good enough, their happy hour goes on from the minute they open till 8pm, an ultimate steal.

KANPAI 789

Situated near the clubs, it’s the perfect place to crash for a pre-drink session, or just to unwind after a long week. Most NS men love it, and for a good reason too. Where else can you grab an Asahi or Kronenbourg beer tower for just S$40?

While Telok Ayer is normally the place you’d head for good food, Miss G’s Grill & Bar is perhaps one of the best places to kick off the weekend with a couple (or perhaps even more?) drinks. Here you can get S$40 beer towers, that’s right, S$40, including varieties such as San Miguel!

You might probably be thinking, none of the beer towers listed so far is quite so cheap enough. Fret not, Sleeping Giants has you covered. We mean it when we say they have the best alcohol deals—housepour towers go for S$29.90 for the first, with subsequent towers at just S$19.90.

During Happy Hours you get to enjoy even more with The Cresten Beer Towers going for S$18.90, though rest assured even off-peak hours, prices don’t ever go beyond S$40.

217 East Coast Rd
Singapore 428915
Daily: 3pm – 12am
Nearest Station: Eunos

STICKIES BAR

The whole point of a night out is to have fun, and having to break the bank just to do so is pretty much voiding it of its purpose. Here, Stickies Bar offers seriously cheap beer towers so you don’t have to worry your head off. For just S$35 dollars, you can get a tower to go along with one of their many games, or if you have enough people, they go for 2 for S$60!

Riverside Piazza #01-10
Singapore 059608

Here’s to all with an undying love and passion for alcohol, in particular, beer.

This addictive alcoholic beverage complements so many cuisines and it never fails to perk you up after a long and tiring day at work. It is also great for nights out with the lads (or the girls) because of its lower alcoholic content and relatively affordable pricing (compared to hard liquor).

One type of beer that we will never be able to get enough of is craft beer. Aside from the personalised touch to the drink, there is an emphasis on traditional brewing methods which contributes towards better flavours and standard of the beer, as opposed to generic ones that you can pull off the shelf at the supermarket.

Here are 20 Craft Beer Places In Singapore For Nights Out With The Lads.

Another bar that all Singaporeans have definitely heard of is Brewerkz. An operator of restaurants and microbreweries that has gained international respect, they are also one of the largest craft brewers in the region and have received awards for their handcrafted beers.

Some outstanding beers that you can try include the Golden Ale and Hopback Ale. The beers are priced according to the size of your drink and the time at which you order.

Now, this is slightly different from a typical bar that most would visit for a good craft beer or two. Booze Pharma-C is a quaint, convenience store at the Link Hotel in Tiong Bahru which has limited seating available inside and outside of the store.

This convenience store has shelves stocked with nothing but the best craft beers from various locations around the world. Think craft beers from the United States, United Kingdom and even Belgium.

A 23-tap bar? Yes, this is exactly what we need. Drawing inspiration for its name from the Singapore Chinese Druggists Association with whom they share their premises with, Druggists is the place you should visit for a swig of refreshing craft beer in a craft beer place with a rustic and old-school charm.

Druggists recommends all patrons to refer to their chalkboard at the bar for their latest tap list. You can also try craft ciders such as the Golden Axe Apple (S$12.50 for 330ml) and Cornish Orchards Pear (S$12.50 for 330ml) on top of their latest concoctions.

A fantastic array of craft beers, burgers and bar bites? You’ve got us hooked.

Freehouse is a craft beer joint situated in Telok Ayer, which is the perfect escape for some post-work drinks for those who are working in the CBD. This unsuspecting craft beer bar has up to 16 different craft beers and ciders on rotation, with prices starting from just S$9 for a 10oz pint.

During our recent visit, we tried the Heretic Chocolate Hazelnut Porter (S$12++ for 10oz) and Zeffer Cider Cherry Bomb (S$11.50++ for 10oz) which were complex yet tasty drinks we would definitely return for.

Good Luck Beerhouse takes it up a notch by offering diners a delectable selection of dim sum that you can enjoy with their craft beers which are either locally brewed or imported from various countries such as the United States, New Zealand and more.

Good Luck Beerhouse has eight brews on tap and more than 50 labels of craft beers from 20 breweries worldwide. Even for the fussiest drinkers, they would certainly be able to find a craft beer to their liking here.
When we visited, we were highly recommended to try the Flat White Stout (S$9 per half pint) which is a rich dark stout flavoured with coffee. We did not regret it one bit! It was robust and flavourful, combining two of our favourite beverages. What’s not to love?

A Japanese gastro bar situated centrally in Suntec City, KURO Izakaya is recognised for their Robatayaki, Kushiyaki, small plates, sake and whisky.

The dual concept dining establishment is a ramen donburi shop by day where you will find working executives there for comforting Japanese food at affordable prices but night time is when you will find the crowd streaming into the modern izakaya for drinks and tapas.

With over 70 dishes features on their comprehensive menu, there is something that will delight everyone at KURO Izakaya. Think premium porcine, succulent wagyu and a curated selection of charcoal grilled seafood.

If you are not enticed yet, what about their exciting Happy Hour promotions when Frozen Kirin Beers are going at only S$5?!

Leveraging on Japanese lanterns to light up the dim space and a gorgeous stone bar that is fully stocked with all sorts of alcohol, KURO Izakaya’s arousing ambience is the perfect spot for idling the night away.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

Binchotan is a type of white Japanese charcoal that is regarded as the best quality charcoal around. It is a very pure high carbon charcoal made from oak. Unlike lump charcoal and briquettes, because of the high carbon content, it is completely odourless—enabling you to enjoy the natural flavours of the food.

One does not simply come to a yakitori joint without ordering yakitori hence, we got just that—the Yakitori Don (S$9.90) to be exact. This lunch item comprises 4 different skewers—chicken thighs with leek, chicken breast, chicken liver and chicken heart, all served a Japanese short grain rice.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

The meat was tender and the sweet sauce really helped bring the dish to life. We particularly fancied the charred edges that carried a subtle smokiness from the charcoal. All in all, a satisfying lunch and a solid accompaniment to an ice-cold pint.

For those who are not too keen on innards, you can always choose to swap them out for additional skewers of chicken meat instead.

Their Bara Chirashi Don (S$17.90) features 4 different types of fish—salmon, tuna, swordfish and ikura. We liked that the ingredients were fresh and flavourful. And while it may not be the best Chirashi Don in Singapore, it is a pretty decent rendition.

Overall, we liked the cosy vibe at this hidden gem and being huge fans of craft beer and quirky cocktails, we can safely say that we will most definitely be returning to try them all.

Freehouse is a craft beer joint you can escape to after a hard day’s work. Hidden on the second floor of a shophouse along Boon Tat Street, feel free to knock back a few pints and leave your troubles at the door.

This unsuspecting craft beer den houses up to 16 different craft beers and ciders on rotation, all affordably priced from S$9 for a 10oz pint. The selection changes constantly, so feel free to ask the bartender what the hottest beers are for the week.

In addition to their excellent range of tipples, they also serve up amazing grub; interesting bar bites like their signature Cereal Frog Legs With Ginger Flower Dressing to mouth watering mains like their Bombay Burger With Piccalilli.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

The Thai flavours really came through with this. It was tangy, sweet with an intense heat that kicks you at the end. The beef patty was firm and juicy and the tangy som tum salad provided an added brightness to the dish.

Despite the spiciness leaving us gasping for ice water after, we must say that this was some of the best sliders we have ever had. Period.

Craig road is a narrow street synonymous for its many chic cafes and fancy restaurants. Hustle Co is the newest addition to the neighbourhood but what sets them apart from the conventional coffee-and-cake joints is their emphasis on craft beers.

Cafes are aplenty all over Singapore but hardly do we ever come across ones that sell craft beers. Which is why we got pretty darn excited after hearing about this particular place.

Serving up a comforting cafe staples for brunch and heartier dishes for dinner, along with a myriad of 12 different craft beers on tap, Hustle Co truly is a cafe which is worth checking out.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

The lunch menu is kept affordable with elements from both local and international flavours. The Turkey Meatball (S$15) is a great starter, as well as the Train Car Breakfast (S$16). The latter is a combination of creamy scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and horseradish served on butter-fried brioche.

Among the main courses, go for the Black Cod (S$34) with buttered braised leak puree and fingerling chips, as well as the signature Chicken Parm (S$27) – a breaded basil and yogurt marinated chicken cutlet that goes well with the Peroni Nastro Azzuro lager.

We’ve mentioned about this before, but it is simply too good not to share it again! The Fancy Fish & Chips (S$46) is a lavish version of the classic fish and chips – instead of using fish, Chef Aaron has incorporated beer-battered and butter-poached Nova Scotian lobster instead, staying true to his Canadian roots. YES, LOBSTER.

And beer fanatics, listen up. Cook & Brew has an amazing craft beer selections with 114 different brews to choose from!

There are restaurants that we return to because we love the ambiance, there are those that we return to because the prices are friendly, then there are also those that hold a special place in our hearts simply because the team of chefs and waitstaff are like friends to us.

Cook & Brew at The Westin Singapore is one of those places, and it is not your typical restaurant. It is a gastrobar, sitting high on the 33rd level and with a glimpse of the city from above, with an exuberant team who are ever passionate about their food and beers, and a comprehensive menu that covers your bar snacks, mains, desserts and all the beers that you can ever dream of.

A recent change of menu had us revisiting the gastrobar, and Chef Aaron has a lot to impress, indeed. On a side note, his humble personality and comical expressions make it so easy to like him. Hailing from Canada, this man is famed for making his own sausages and meatballs, and man, do we need those with our beers!

But of course, Cook & Brew’s new menu is so fascinating that you might just need more trips back to try everything. Here are some highlights from its revamp, and 12 star dishes that you definitely must try from Cook & Brew’s new menus:

TRAIN CAR BREAKFAST

Such a catchy name, ain’t it? Start with this appetizer (S$16) of butter fried brioche (oh good Lord, yes), creamy scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and horse radish. Think of Eggs Florentine, but way better and dynamically flavoursome. Goes best with Kirin beer; yes, you know you need that.

TURKEY MEATBALLS

We are usually not fans of meatballs, but these are just splendid. Chef Aaron spent a great deal perfecting his meatballs, and the usage of turkey makes this meatballs dish a lighter one. Doused in tomato sauce, pecorino and fried bread, Turkey Meatballs (S$15) is best enjoyed with Pilsner Urquell. You can also make this a main by adding fresh cut pasta (S$8).

HOMEMADE SMOKED SAUSAGE NEW ORLEAN’S STYLE

This is one dish that the kitchen is really proud to introduce. Ever so passionate about making and linking his own sausages, Chef Aaron’s creation of Homemade Smoked Sausage (S$22) comes complete with bubble & squeak, watercress and tomato jam. No fillers, no nut extenders, no binders. No organs and intestines, too. Just pure pork meat that are freshly grounded by the kitchen. Don’t forget to order a bottle of Strongbow Gold Apple Cider too!

POUTINE “EH”

Traditionally a Canadian dish that is essentially French fries topped with a brown gravy and cheese curds, Cook & Brew has their own version of Poutine now. Trust Chef Aaron when it comes to this; he is Canadian, and this is his element.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

The Poutine “Eh” (S$16) is luxurious with pulled pork that’s prepared fresh in-house on a daily basis, cheese curds and apple Strongbow gravy. Very rustic, and every bit comforting. A dish that is good to share, and best enjoyed with Strongbow Cider Red Berries.

USDA ANGUS STRIPLOIN STEAK

We are huge fans of steaks, and we enjoyed this dish thoroughly. Apart from the fact that it is a good excuse to drink Guinness, the USDA Angus Striploin Steak (S$54) is a plate of beautifully seared striploin that is creamy and slightly fatty. Served with roasted mushrooms, stilton and a watercress salad, then topped with buttered bread crumbs that look nothing than tiny bits of scrapes but explosively flavourful, this is to die for.

FANCY FISH & CHIPS – BEER BATTERED NOVA SCOTIA LOBSTERS

Because fish & chips is too mainstream, Chef Aaron has to show us how it is done. Use lobsters, he said. And so, that brilliant twist is his take on a fancier version – well, it is not named Fancy Fish & Chips (S$46) for no reason.

Beer battered Nova Scotia lobsters served with sauce gribiche, which is essentially mayo-style cold egg sauce, the Fancy Fish & Chips is one of its kind. Every bite into the sweet flesh was divine, and you can just imagine how addicted we are to it; we are already planning a next visit back to The Westin Singapore!

SMOKED BACON CARAMEL CHOCOLATE BAR

It sounds strange, but it is absolutely to die for. Heaven meets Earth when bacon is put into chocolates. Who would have thought that the sweet-savoury combination would be so flawless? This dessert of Smoked Bacon Caramel Chocolate Bar (S$13) is easily the most decadent chocolate bar we’ve had in recent times. Like Snickers, but way better and comes with dates, hazelnut and smoked bacon, topped with chocolate sauce and maple candied bacon strip. This is one hell of a life-changing dessert and you have to try it to believe what good it does for your soul!

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

CHICKEN WINGS

Chicken Wings are the perfect bar snacks. Cook & Brew has not only one, but three types of chicken wings – Hoisin Lime & Chili (S$12), Double Crispy Wings with Blue Cheese Sauce (S$12) and Hot Wings (S$12) – on the bar menu.

SALT COD BRANDADE ON TOAST

If you are going to Cook & brew to have some drinks with your colleagues after work, get the Salt Cod Brandade on Toast (S$12) from the bar menu. The salted cod is served on a grilled sourdough, and best enjoyed with a pint of Erdinger.

SUSHI BOWL

Happy to know that perennial favourites are staying on the menu too. We’ve tried the Sushi Bowl (S$18) in Cook & Brew’s opening days, and boy, was it satisfying. Think of a deconstructed sushi, with BBQ salmon, egg roll, avocado, radish and wasabi mayonnaise, this is on the ‘Starter Fare’ section, but the ladies would love to know the generous portion works well as a main itself. Best enjoyed with Leffe Blond!

COOK & BREW FRIED CHICKEN

Fried chicken + Beer = Happiness. Which is why we can never say no to Cook & Brew Fried Chicken (S$27). Glad that this classic dish is a mainstay, because it is ever so satisfying with the homemade wasabi mayonnaise, sesame spinach salad and cherry tomatoes. Needless to say, you need your beer with this. We’d say go for the recommended Leffe Blond, and your night is well complete.

DUCK RICE

Cook & Brew also has some local fares for the patriots and all who love a good Singaporean dish. The Duck Rice (S$25) sounds unassuming, but what do you know?Ruby red roasted duck served with white rice and braised sauce, the Duck Rice is fragrant and very enjoyable with Tsingtao beer. But of course.

What does “Pint & Curries” sound like? You might be thinking about a hundred fancy stories, but it really is beer and Northern Indian food – favourites that are ever comforting.

When we were in London last year, we chanced upon several dining establishments that please their crowds with good beer and curries, and it is recognised as a lifestyle to watch your matches while indulging in two of life’s best pleasures. What may sound like a lethal combination is really not that potent, because as with wine pairing, beers can be paired to complement our favourite food, too!

This year, the folks behind the highly popular Bar Bar Black Sheep have launched this very concept right here in Singapore. Nestled in the heart of Clarke Quay, Pint & Curries offers an affordable supper menu of North-Indian curries and well-loved crafted beers.

Party-ing at Clarke Quay will never be the same again. Be gone, hungry nights and empty stomachs. Pint & Curries is a great late night dining option in Singapore, and your best bet and pit stop when you need a hearty supper in between drinking, and its superb location calls for no driving (and being stopped for the breathalyser tests!)

Here are some of our picks:

Pint & Curries’ menu has the classic Indian dishes that everyone loves – like Tandoori Chicken (S$9 for a quarter), Chicken Tikka Masala (S$12), Fish Masala (S$16), and, behold… Butter Chicken (S$12), one of the signature dishes at Bar Bar Black Sheep’s – but the chefs have also whipped out several interesting creations that are so delicious, you will remember your suppers for these.

One of them is the Chicken Malai Kebab (S$14) – tender chicken that is well-marinated with yogurt, nuts, and cream. Simple and satisfying, we’d say.

The Rogan Josh (S$12), with its generous cubes of mutton in a thick gravy made of special herbs and spices, is also an ideal choice to kick start a great meal ahead.

We have no idea why Chicken 65 (S$9) is named as such, but what we know is that the spicy deep fried chicken chunks are extremely addictive. We would love to steal the popular tagline and peg it as ‘finger-licking good’, but let’s just say this redefined spicy deep fried chicken and it is the perfect bar snack to go along with a pint of Brewdog Punk IPA (S$12.90).

The highlight of our meal, and our favourite dish, is the Chicken Vindaloo (S$12). The curry house’s speciality sat in a puddle of spicy gravy. The boneless chicken was exceptionally sweet and succulent, and we mopped the bowl clean of any gravy with the Cheese & Garlic Naan (S$4.50) that is fresh and fluffy from the oven. The Peroni (S$12.90) – a light and pleasant Italian beer with a subtle hint of sweet malt – is the perfect marriage with the Chicken Vindaloo, and leaves you salivating for more. By the way, back to the Chicken 65, we dunked the chunks in to the Vindaloo and boy, were they greater than good!

The Palak Paneer (S$9), cottage cheese cubes in a Spinach puree, is not the most visually appealing dish, and probably not something that will catch your attention immediately, but it is one dish that will grow on you with every spoonful. The sheer creaminess is the brilliant blend of the sweetness of the spinach and richness of the cheese, and as much as we loved it with our naan, it is really quite a pleasure to savour it on its own. Probably a dish that would stay on our list of favourites and one that we would order with every patronage.

Beyond Indian curries, Pint & Curries also has a variety of other curries such as Thai curry and Malaysian Chicken Curry (S$12) in its repertoire. Expect the best of Bar Bar Black Sheep’s North Indian and Thai kitchens at Pint & Curries.

The Thai dishes such as Green Thai Curry Chicken (S$12), Tom Yum Goong (S$12), and Green Thai Curry Prawn (S$12) are worthy mentions, too. Tom Yum Goong is a dish that represents absolute comfort, and if you are nursing a hangover, there is nothing quite like this spicy Thai soup to jolt you up.

If you are having dinner here, or simply feeling peckish after clubbing, or if a Tom Yum Goong is not enough to treat that hangover, go for the Chicken Biryani (S$12) or Kway Teow Goreng (S$8). Other staples include Nasi Goreng and Mee Goreng. Yes, you can have them all here without having to drive out to the nearest prata shop in your drunken stupor.

Pint & Curries offers a collection of craft beers and ciders, including Brewdog Punk IPA, Little Creatures Pale Ale, Peroni, or Rekorderlig Cider, which are priced at S$10.90 each during happy hours (from opening till 10pm), and S$12.90 after happy hours.
