Just when you think the Japanese cannot outdo themselves, they prove you wrong. They have always been known for their creativity in innovations, and our recent visit to Kura Sushi in Ikebukuro proved that a sushi restaurant need not be just a sushi restaurant.
Kura Sushi might not seem like much to the unsuspecting passerby. But look out for it, and you will be rewarded with pocket-friendly ¥100 sushi. Yes, you read that right—¥100. That is less than S$1.50!
But eating has never been more rewarding. You also get to experience the gachapon machines within the restaurant! Here is why you should visit Kura Sushi And Go Crazy With ¥100 Sushi.
Sitting in the heartlands of Singapore, in the bustling neighbourhood of Toa Payoh is Krazy Salad Bar, a nondescript eatery that is more than just salad. It is a semi-buffet place that has a full menu of Western main courses and we love them for their value-for-money main course + salad bar concept.
Of course, it is up to you whether you want to go for the full works, and you can always just opt for just the main course or the salad buffet. But if we are telling you that for under S$20, you get free flow of main courses, salad and desserts, would you not be tempted?
Now, this offer right in the heart of Toa Payoh Central is a gem—yes you need to check out Krazy Salad Bar.
From now until 30 November 2016 (Mon – Thu), readers of ladyironchef can simply quote “ladyironchef” or flash this post to enjoy the free top-up of a salad buffet, or to enjoy a discounted top-up of S$5 for free flow main courses from the special promotional menu.
The wait is finally over. Kiss The Tiramisu, the popular South Korean Tiramisu soft-serve ice cream joint, is set to open in Singapore soon! Their first outlet will be located right in the heart of Orchard Road, at Orchard Gateway.
Kiss The Tiramisu has been a hit in South Korea ever since its debut in Hongdae, fusing two popular desserts into one awesome treat. Tiramisu and soft serve ice cream are like two peas in a pot. Each tiramisu soft serve from Kiss The Tiramisu is also served in a swanky gold-rimmed plastic “wine glass” for your perfect social media photo.
The dessert chain also opened in Bangkok in mid-2016, and it is definitely expanding to more and more countries in the region. We cannot wait for its grand opening here in sunny Singapore!
You guys, it is time to head down to KFC.
We are the biggest fans of KFC since forever, and it is our favourite fast food chain for fried chicken. You might not know, but we have always worshipped Colonel Sanders and are constantly thankful he introduced the world-famous Kentucky Fried Chicken.
It is our idea of comfort food, and it does not fail in lifting our spirits. The Hot & Crispy is a classic, and though we would gladly eat it for life, the all-new Umakara Chicken is gonna distract us for two months.
We had the privilege to taste it before its launch – trust us, it was the best news we’ve received all week because #FanOfKFCForever. And if you are thinking of dismissing this, you are so gonna regret. KFC’s Umakara Chicken is the BEST seasonal flavour yet!
It has been slightly over a year since Kennedy Town MTR Station has opened and today, the Hong Kong town is an up-and-coming destination with so much that awaits.
While the dining landscape at Kennedy Town is transforming rapidly with its high turnover rate, we have to admit that it is definitely currently one of Hong Kong’s hottest hangout spots. It is really a different world there.
From making a trip to Instagram Pier, grabbing liqueur from Sunday’s Grocery to having a meal at Cobo House, here is our Beginner’s Guide to Kennedy Town in Hong Kong.
Move aside rainbow cakes, because there is finally an outrageous colourful rendition of savouries – and we are totally digging this novelty!
Cheese Toast Specialist Kala Toast is located in Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong, but its far-flung location has not stopped unicorn lovers from making a special trip down to savour their signature rainbow grilled cheese sandwiches.
Is this yet another gimmicky food or actually a legit tasty grilled cheese sandwich? You decide.
Kitty Burns only opened its doors in Melbourne two months ago, but has already won a strong following in such a short span with its beautiful space and mouthwatering food.
Greenery, geometry and minimalism are the cafe interiors’ key characteristics; it was the gorgeous design that lured us in. Think pastel hues and high ceilings – how do you resist a place like that?
Fortunately, Kitty Burns is way more than just a pretty face. The comprehensive menu boasts a great selection of all-day gourmet brunch items created with masterly finesse and Victoria’s freshest produce. Unsurprisingly, the new cafe in Abbotsford is packed with customers on a daily basis – even on weekdays.
What was slated to be an early 2015 opening, quietly shifted to a purportedly late 2015 opening. Now, KidZania Singapore has made an official statement to say that the entertainment centre will only officially launch on 12 April 2016. This was confirmed after they hosted a recruitment drive in August 2015, where a total of 150 jobs were made available to the public.
KidZania promises an “interactive learning and entertainment experience for kids in a kid-sized city, through over 80 role-play activities”. Now, this makes waiting worth the while.
Mark your calendars for April, because it is going to be a ton of fun and games here for your little ones. KidZania will be education through play!
