We went on a food trail some weeks back to curate today’s post, and we are so stoked to be sharing with you some of the festive highlights that you can find at RWS this Christmas. FOREST
Forest is a place that we save for a date when we want modern Chinese cuisine served in a classy and elegant restaurant. On Christmas Day, Chef Sam Leong is going all out with a special 8-course lunch that comes with 13 tasting portions. Some of the dishes that you can look forward to are Braised Rice Vermicelli with Pork Belly and Deep-fried Lychee Stuffed with Crab Meat.
Throughout the month of December, Chef Sam Leong has prepared three different festive dinner menus that feature Braised Six-head Australian Abalone and Sea Whelk Soup made with double-boiled quail.

Awestruck. That was the only word that could describe our feelings when we were at Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora. The marine world is one so fascinating and it feels surreal to be dining at this stunning restaurant that is within the S.E.A Aquarium.

Dining at the incredibly captivating Cat Cora would be the closest thing to diving with the most important woman in my life- my 75 year old mum who was enthralled by the S.E.A aquarium but could not take on the padi open water dive course herself to experience the wonders and beauty of the ocean.

The ocean restaurant is definitely one of the most romantic dining place. I was there for lunch early this year to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We both enjoyed the food and the magnificent view. Hope I have the chance to return there again and this time is with my parents.

So breathtaking and peaceful when you dine with the school of fishes passing by. Watching their soft movements in groups gliding by just amazes me , how do they even communicate and move so graciously together. And the meal with an interesting conversation just intensifies the flavor of the food at ocean cora.

Joël Robuchon is the most decorated chef in the world, with a total of 28 Michelin Guide stars. His food at RWS must be simply out of this world!
He was known for the relentless perfectionism of his cuisine; he says there is no such thing as the perfect meal – one can always do better. He was instrumental in leading French cuisine away from the excesses—and excessive reductionism—of nouvelle cuisine. In particular, his cuisine was seen as harking back to a more authentic, even bourgeois French cuisine—the “cuisine actuelle” of Patricia Wells’ book which focused on making each ingredient taste of itself. Drawing his inspiration firstly from the simplicity of cuisine, he led the way in creating a more delicate style respectful of natural food ingredients.
