Satisfy the carnivore in you at PARKROYAL on Beach Road from 5 September to 26 October 2014 at Plaza Brasserie’s For The Love of Roasts buffet dinner (adult S$65++, child S$39++) which features an all-you-can-eat buffet spread of premium meats. The highlights include Wagyu D-Rump Roast, 200-day Grain-fed Prime Ribs, Angus Beef Tenderloin Roast, Roast Pork Collar as well as exotic meats like Braised Kangaroo Tail, and Braised Ox Tongue… We bet you are just as excited as we are!
For The Love of Roasts is Plaza Brasserie at PARKROYAL On Beach Road’s inaugural presentation of a buffet that is centered around tantalising roasts and exotic meats, and the chefs have definitely gone all out to impress with their best offerings that will feed a king.
[ GIVEAWAY ] We are also giving away 3 pairs of weekday buffet dining vouchers to retreat to an evening of feasting at For The Love of Roasts buffet. Leave a comment below, and share this post on your Facebook timeline to win. More details on the giveaway at the end of this post.
Whenever we go for buffets, we always stay away from the roast section. Well, simply because most of the time, the roasts are over-cooked, dry and nothing near appetising at all. To be honest, we were apprehensive about Plaza Brasserie’s For The Love of Roasts. prior to stepping in. But our worries were eased, and we really could not be more pleased.
The chefs have stayed true to their cooking philosophy – all the roasts and meats are superbly cooked to medium rare. Every slab of meat is prepared to the ideal doneness, with precise control of the temperature and roasting time (chefs’ secret here), and there was not an item that disappointed. Steaks are usually best prepared medium rare, but if you cannot take the sight of red patches in your meat, the chefs will be more than happy to roast your portion till your preferred doneness; your request is their command.
The star of the show is without a doubt the Wagyu D-Rump Roast. In all honesty, we have no idea how Plaza Brasserie manages its food cost by serving wagyu beef in a buffet. While wagyu d-rump is not the most expensive nor the best well-marbled wagyu, it is undisputedly a fine piece of meat and this alone is reason enough to try the buffet. You get to eat all you can here. Yes, you get the idea that you are on your way to heaven.
Pace yourself with the Wagyu D-Rump Roast though, because you would want to save room for the 200-day Grain-fed Prime Ribs and Angus Beef Tenderloin Roast. What more can you ask for when you get such a mouth-watering selection of roast?
It is not every day that you get to try kangaroo meat in Singapore, and if you are adventurous enough, we dare you to try the Braised Kangaroo Tail which is slow cooked for five hours. And by the way, they do not come cheap too even if you can even find them at regular restaurants, so we’d say just go for it! For bone marrow lovers, you will be thrilled to know that you are in for unlimited Baked Bone Marrow for dinner, too.
Continue your feast with Roast Lamb, dry-cured Reserva Ham, Sliced Air-dried Beef, Roast Pork Collar, Kurobuta Pork Sausages and Guinness Beef & Pork Sausages. Alas! We kid you not when we said that the chefs have prepared a lot of meat.
The condiments for the roasts are equally mind-blowing. Choose from béarnaise, black pepper sauce, chilli sauce, green peppercorn sauce, horseradish, hotdog relish, mango chutney, mint jelly, mushroom sauce, mustard, plum sauce, tabasco, thyme jus, and Worcester sauce.
There are also various Chef’s ‘Live’ Cooking Stations that offer Plaza Brasserie’s signature dishes. Our favourite is the Indian food station where you can get really good roti prata – plus free shows by the Indian prata man who flips your dough right before your eyes. This time round, Plaza Brasserie is also having a Risotto Station where the chef will cook Risotto with Mushroom & Pumpkin in summer truffle oil ala minute.
Regulars to Plaza Brasserie will also know to look forward to home-cooked Asian dishes from the signature “Best of Asia” buffet. So much food, so little stomach space.
For a change of taste, head over to the dessert buffet and try Agar Agar, Durian Crepe, Durian Paste, Bubur Cha Cha, Bubur Terigu, Pulat Hitam and Tau Suan!
For The Love of Roasts (S$65++ for adult, and S$39++ for child) is available during dinner buffet (6pm – 10.30pm daily) from 5 September to 26 October 2014. ANZ, CIMB Bank, DBS, Diners Club, HSBC, Maybank, NTUC and OCBC cardholders get to enjoy 15% savings for the buffet dinner, while UOB cardholders get 15% off for the total bill.

i would love to try the Wagyu D-Rump Roast and roast pork collar at Plaza Brasserie. its true that normally certain place’s roast are overly dry to the extent that its hard to swallow, but it certainly looks juicy and from your review, it just simply gets me excited to try it =D
I would love to taste the exotic braised Kangaroo tail and bone marrow the most as I haven’t gotten the chance to try thwse two. Also, I have not been to Park Royal nor Plaza Brassserie and I think this is a great opportunity for me, especially when there’s such a wide variety of meat available for this meat lover. On “why you should choose me”, I think you could choose anyone else as well but you would definitely fufill my wish of savouring many different meat selections and being able to spend some quality time with my dad as he loves buffet but it’s a rare indulgence. For that, I can’t be more thankful. Lastly, thank you for the contest!
I would like to taste Wagyu D-Rump Roast! Yummy
I would love to try the Wagyu and kangaroo..because Wagyu is my favourite and i haven’t had a good kangaroo dish since returning to Singapore from Perth years ago!
I would love to taste the exotic braised Kangaroo tail and bone marrow!
Wagyu D-Rump Roast ..i am a girl loves her meat. Its probably one of the few buffet lines that concentrate to please carnivores like me…i normally get my meat fix at places like brazillian churrascaria but normally my company who is not much of a meat person would enjoy it as much. Offerings at Parkroyal make sure the not so meat lovers who accompany the meat lovers enjoy the meal as well thanks to the variety!
I would like to try the Wagyu D-Rump Roast ! Simply because I’m a meat eater and I LOVE buffet so so much ! What more, I’ve tried other roast from different places and restaurants. They are either roasted till too dry or over-cooked it. It kinda ruined the thick and juicy meat. So I’m trying my luck now and hope to win a pair of dining vouchers so that I can try the Wagyu D-Rump Roast, other roasts, signature dishes cooked by various Chef’s ‘Live’ cooking stations and end my meal with some desserts ! *fingers crossed* (:
I would love to try kangaroo meat because I did not do it when I was in OZ and I a, sooo regret XD
it’s gotta be the 200-day Grain-fed Prime Ribs! It’s definitely worth the trip down to have a feast with family, for my birthday this month!

This is all guns out and blazing !! I have long skipped buffet but this will be awesome Carnivore War !! I will go for Angus Beef Tenderloin first, followed by a tint of everything else!!
I would love to try the Wagyu D-Rump Roast, 200-day Grain-fed Prime Rib, Pork Knuckle, Air-dried Beef, Reserva Ham, Roast Lamb with Herbs because i am a meatarian and they are all so yummy! Love it!! =)
I would love to try the 200-day Grain-fed Prime Rib. This range is extremely popular in japan and in fine dining restaurants for its sensational taste and guaranteed tenderness.
This goes without saying its their Wagyu D-Rump Roast. I bet no one can withstand the temptation of not having a taste of wagyu when serve during buffet, especially for a beef lover like me.
It must be the Wagyu D-Rump Roast, salivating thinking of it. Just came back from Japan and still thinking of e Kobe beef that I had there
Love to try the dry-cured Reserva Ham
Definitely would want to try the Kangaroo – slow cooked meat how to beat. When it comes to trying anyway, sort of have an idea how the others will taste (absolutely delicious!).

Wagyu and Prime Ribs certainly looks good.. Actually based on how amount I can eat at buffets, it is not advisable to invite me. But for all the recommendations I will make and how my friends will follow it, it should be money back guaranteed… If it is really good!
I want to try the braised kangaroo tail! Because I have not tried it when I was in Australia! Now I have the opportunity to try it in SG!
Looking at the amazing selection available at Plaza Brasserie, its definitely hard to chose a favourite out of them. The wagyu d-rump looks so juicy and succulent and just looking at it makes me salivate. However, the 2 that really draws my attention is the braised kangaroo tail and the baked bone marrow! I’ve always heard that kangaroo meat tastes superb and doesn’t have a gamey taste. Im a huge fan of bone marrow but I’ve only been able to try it in soups, im really intregied to find out how a baked version of bone marrow will taste like. Thanks for having this giveaway, it would be awesome to bring my special other half to experience such an amazing buffet. Thanks a lot!!

My bf and I are both meat lovers and would head for buffets just chosen based on the meats they serve. He started on his job recently and we barely had time to meet up for satisfying good dinners. I hope this would be a good reward for him after his long days of work! Thank you and Parkroyal for the giveaway!
Oops, and I would like to try the Wagyu D-Rump Roast and kangaroo tail!
I already had Kangaroo tail while camping in Alice Spring last year. It is time for some ox tongue now.
