When I was planning for a one-day hawker food trail with my friend, she said that we have to try the famous Toa Payoh Hokkien Mee at Lorong 1 food center (near Braddell Mrt station). To be frank, I wasn’t very convinced initially. But it has been quite some time since I last had a good plate of hokkien mee, and I guessed there wasn’t any harm in trying.
