When I received my first beauty box from Bellabox, I was excited, curious and puzzled altogether. The excitement and curiosity co-exist because I had zero clue about the surprise that awaited me, and I was puzzled because I never understood the kind of happiness this now-famous beauty box has brought so many people around the world.

For a monthly subscription, you get a box of beauty goodies to sample, and as said, they come in the form of little surprises – products that are newly launched in the market, products that are popular and trending, products with benefits that are otherwise unbeknownst to consumers… they remind me of omakase where chefs will decide the menu for dinners based on his reading on the guests’ tastes and preferences, and the ingredients used might change according to what is best on the market. The best part is, of course, you really never know what you will receive.

Bellabox’s theme for April is Beauty Goodness, and they are celebrating all things yummy. Other than beauty and lifestyle products, the April’s box also features a recipe of Laurent Bernard’s famous chocolate souffle. Be sure to subscribe to Bellabox this month!

Cadbury Dairy Milk’s Marvellous Creations Chocolate + Giveaway

AdvertorialCadbury Marvellous Creations

Cadbury Dairy Milk is a household name. People around me know that I have a sweet tooth, and I love (in a head-over-heels-kind-of-way) chocolates. Cadbury chocolate is my best friend and I always make sure to stock up my fridge with my favourite original milk chocolate flavour and Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut.

Being a big fan of Cadbury chocolate, imagine my happiness when they approached me to be an ambassador for Cadbury Dairy Milk’s new Marvellous Creations.

For a start, let me tell you more about the Marvellous Creations from Cadbury Dairy Milk. Unlike the usual Cadbury chocolates that come with nuts, the Marvellous Creations are filled with the wackiest possible ingredients: Jelly Crunchie Bits, Jelly Popping Candy Beanies, and Peanut Toffee Cookie. We are very lucky that Singapore is the second country in the world (after Australia) to have the Marvellous Creations. Trust me on this. You need to get them and try it for yourself.

Cadbury Blogger Party

[ Giveaway ] We will be giving away 5 hampers of Marvellous Creations – worth S$50 each. All you need to do is to answer a simple question (read more information below) and leave a comment.  Also, at the end of this post, I will also be sharing how you can charter the Joyrider – an awesome Cadbury bus – for an hour of partying with your friends.

Guide to Quayside Isle Restaurants Sentosa Cove

AdvertorialQuayside Isle

An unobstructed view of the marina and an array of restaurants & lifestyle retail outlets – A whole new world is born in Singapore. Quayside Isle is a new integrated F&B and retail development within the luxurious Sentosa Cove enclave.

Brussels Sprouts

What makes Quayside Isle a place you can return to again and again is its excellent mix of eateries — from affordable options such as Kith and Grillado, to chill-out spots like Sabio by the Sea, Tapas & Grill and Brussels Sprouts – Belgian Beer & Mussels — and a breath-taking view of the beautiful marina. There are few places in Singapore that can match this new spot in terms of its diversity of dining options, as well as the overall ambience.

This is a place where I can come with a few friends to relax over drinks and finger food, or bring my family for celebratory meals during the festive season. It is also great for an intimate gathering with friends or a romantic date with your partner – the setting of the waterfront dining restaurants makes you feel you are on a vacation without even having to leave Singapore.

Below we share some of the highlights of the restaurants at Quayside Isle, Sentosa Cove.

O'Coffee Club Valentine's Day

With twenty branches around the island, O’Coffee Club is one of the most recognised cafe chains in Singapore. For Valentine’s Day this year, O’Coffee Club has specially created a 5-course Epicurean dinner at their first outlet in Holland Village. There will be live band playing while you enjoy a scrumptious dinner.

As this is a one-time special with an exclusive menu only available at Holland Village’s outlet for this Valentine’s Day, seats are limited. I will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with my partner there, and if you are thinking of where to go for a romantic dinner, why not join us on that special night?

O'Coffee Club Promotion

Besides the 5-course Epicurean Dinner on Valentine’s Day, O’Coffee Club has also lined up many treats for us in the month of February.

Macarons lovers will be thrilled to know that the new creations include ‘Muddy Mud Pie Macaroon’, which is inspired by their famous ‘Muddy Mud Pie’ dessert and ‘CNY Pineapple Macaroon’. If you are looking for a Chinese New Year gift, O’Coffee Club’s ‘Haute Collection Pineapple Tarts’ ($6.80++ per box of 8) is the perfect thing to buy besides the usual mandarin oranges when you go visiting in the CNY. Also, their February’s high tea set ($8.50/pax) is one of the most affordable afternoon tea sets in town.

That is the start of my tantalizing adventure with O’Coffee Club. Remember to sign up for the event, and we shall have a ball of a time celebrating Valentine’s Day at O’Coffee Club together.

Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe Opens Till 4am

AdvertorialXin Wang Hong Kong Cafe

Occasionally I like to indulge in a sinful supper, and even though I have my trusty list of late night dining places to turn to, there are times when I would run out of places to go to, too.

Some restaurants are great spots for late night dining, but they often close by midnight, and of course, it is impossible to dine at expensive restaurants all the time. Some eateries, on the other hand, have good supper food, but they are not places where you would want to linger for long.

My ideal supper place should be somewhere that a) opens across wee hours, b) serves hearty supper food at affordable prices, c) offers a nice environment to hang out and d) is located conveniently. And Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe fits the bill perfectly.

Feast with Wee Owls

I was thrilled when I learned that 13 of the 16 Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafes have extended their opening hours till 4am daily. Whoopie! What a great news for supper lovers.

The good people from Thai Express Group (parent company of Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe) hosted us for a late night party, and all of us had so much fun playing games while pigging out.

Also, to celebrate the newly revised operation timings, Xin Wang Hong Kong Café is launching a new Facebook ‘Spot the Wee Owls’ contest. Read more to find out more about Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe and the contest.
