ChocGoji Chocolate Covered Wolfberries Snack

ChocGoji

Who loves wolfberries (also known as Goji berries) as I do? I am very familiar with wolfberries because my mom uses it to prepare oriental soups. For her, wolfberries are one of the key ingredients, as they are believed to be beneficial to the eyes, liver and kidney. Moreover, it is a natural sweetener – soups cooked with wolfberries are so much more flavourful. So boy, was I surprised when I found out about ChocGoji – chocolate covered wolfberries. Oh my god.

I love chocolate, and I love having wolfberries in my soup. But I would never have imagined covering wolfberries with chocolate. I think the Chocgoji’s slogan sums it up perfectly: chocolates-coated wolfberry is a match made in heaven.

If you are like me, snacking all the time, why not give ChocGoji a try? They come in three different chocolate coatings; milk chocolate, dark chocolate and sugar-free chocolate.

Resorts World Genting Food Tour

AdvertorialLadyironchef food tour

Blogging has given me the chance to try many new things – from travelling to different cities, to meeting many amazing people. Albeit one of the things that I’ve always wanted to do, but never had the chance is to bring people on a food tour.

When I was in Resorts World Genting in April, I discussed it with the folks in charge. They were quite excited about the idea of bringing my readers to try the best restaurants in Genting, but it was only when they confirmed the news a month ago – then it struck me that the food tour was finally happening.

Last month, I brought a group of 33 people to Genting for the food tour and I am happy to report that it was a very fruitful trip. Genting, to me, is my second home, and I was really excited to show everyone around. Read more to find out what we did!

Also, we might be doing a second food marathon to Genting in September. For those of you who are keen to join me, please leave a comment (using a valid email address) at the end of the post so that I can contact you when we have more details.

// The first giveaway of 2 X $50 Old Hong Kong Legend vouchers has ended. Thank you for participating. The winners are #31 and #44.

The winners of the second giveaway are: #325, #153, #237, #359, #376, #402, #21, #15, and #425.

I do not frequent restaurants in malls because most of the time, you can only find restaurant chains. However, Raffles City is an exception that I would gladly welcome. It is nice to see that they are actively approaching good F&B tenants to provide new options for the consumers.

Salt Tapas & Bar, Tiong Bahru Bakery, Wooloomooloo Steakhouse are just some of the big names at Raffles City. And from what I have heard, there are more interesting concepts (one of which is a casual Vietnamese noodle bar by the Les Amis group) opening soon. Check out Raffles City food guide if you are looking for dining options this weekend.

Here’s part two of my Raffles City food trail – where we visited Old Hong Kong Legend, Bibigo, and Canele Patisserie Patisserie. We are also giving away $100 worth of dining vouchers, read more to find out how you join the giveaway.

Raffles City Food Festival

AdvertorialRaffles City Restaurants

Whenever my friends meet for gatherings, one of our favourite places is Raffles City Shopping Centre as City Hall is convenient for everyone.

Other than the location, another reason why I love Raffles City is because of the dining options – there are more than 50 restaurants in the mall. From restaurants like Salt Tapas & Bar, Skinny Pizza, Sushi Tei, and Canele; to eateries like Thai Express, The Soup Spoon, and Cedele – it offers a diverse range of food offerings.

Raffles City is organising a Mastercard mall-wide F&B promotion (6th to 29th July) in conjunction with Singapore Food Festival 2012. There will be lucky draw with exclusive $5,000 worth of hotel stay by Fairmont and Swissotel, and dining deals to be won during this period. You can visit Raffles City Epicurean Society for more details.

I met up with the folks from Raffles City to find out more about the promotion, and they brought me on a food trail to try three restaurants at Raffles City – Salt Tapas & Bar, Menya Musashi, and Soup Broth Asia.

If you always have problem trying to choose a place for dinner in the City Hall area, here’s a quick guide on where you can go.

People are often only aware of and receptive towards reality when bad things happen. And this can be taken in control by implementing preventive measures for the many aspects in our lives. Taking good care of our teeth is one – everyone should inculcate good oral hygiene in our daily habits before cavities and unhealthy gums say hello.

Since my recent visit to the dentist, it struck me that I ought to take better care of my teeth – especially when I love sweet stuff so very much. And this is apart from all the other crazy food I eat everyday.

After discovering how using a softer toothbrush is vital, I’ve been religiously using the new Colgate SlimSoft which, boasts extra soft bristles. Of course, it is impossible to see an immediate improvement in the teeth condition, but after switching to the Colgate SlimSoft, my gums feel less sore, and they don’t bleed as often as before.

Also, the good people at Colgate-Palmolive are throwing a party for my readers on 30th June, read on to find out how you can join us!

Oral Hygiene Tips for Healthy White Teeth

This post is sponsored by Colgate-PalmoliveOral Hygiene Tips

Being a food blogger means there is an array of food to try, and while the different types of cuisines satisfy the glutton in me, it is not necessarily a good thing. There are actually a lot of food that are bad for our teeth.

Lately, I did a little research on ‘teeth sensitivity’ as I have been experiencing sharp pains when I eat certain kinds of food. One of my discoveries includes the fact that regular consumption of food with high acidity (or acid content) is a common attribution to sensitivity. It is only then I realised that citrus fruits, tomatoes, and tea – all of which I consume on a daily basis – can cause enamel erosion.

Through this, I became more interested in learning how to take proper care of my teeth, and I would like to take this chance to share with you 5 important Oral Hygiene Tips for healthy and white teeth.

SlimSpa Review: Secret to Losing Weight

Advertorial
Slimspa

“How do you stay slim when you are always eating so much?” I get this question all the time, and to be completely honest, there’s no secret to staying slim – I exercise regularly.

But as I’ve been travelling frequently this year, I find it difficult to maintain an exercise routine. I used to jog at least four to five times a week, but nowadays, I only do it once or twice when I have time. Many friends are envious of me as they think that I can eat without gaining weight. But the truth is I gain weight easily (especially as I literally eat for a living), and I definitely don’t have skinny genes.

Fortunately, I met the folks from SlimSpa, and they introduced me to their diet and nutritional supplements to solve my problem.

There are many slimming products in the market, but the sad thing is most of them come and go, and as consumers, we don’t really know which brands to trust. SlimSpa, on the other hand, has been around for over seven years in the market.

I’ve been using SlimSpa products over the last month and I am happy to say that everything is going well so far. If you are looking for a safe way to lose weight, you can read more about my journey with SlimSpa’s weight management solution.
