Come August, our team is partnering Changi City Point in bringing you a fun-filled cocktail making workshop at Table Manners, one of the outdoor alfresco dining restaurants at The Oasis, where we get to hang out together over chats and drinks.
50 readers will be invited to join us on 16 August 2015 from 4pm to 6pm, and we will be watching several cocktail demonstrations. This Cocktail Making Workshop is exclusively for Ladyironchef’s readers, and is completely free of charge.
Here is what to expect, and how to win entries to this event:
Making artisanal crack cocktails at home isn’t too difficult. During the workshop, the mixologist will be sharing more on the right collection of tools, ingredients and proper technique of making a good cocktail.
We will also be given an introduction to Mixology, the origin and history of cocktails, common terms and definitions, as well as Bar Equipment familiarisation. Of the three cocktails that we will be learning to make, one of them is a special concoction by the Table Manners’ team – the SG50 Red Lion Cocktail. The other 2 cocktails will be revealed during the workshop itself. And the cherry on top is that four lucky readers will be chosen to take part in the hands-on demonstration.

I’ve had a passion for mixing alcoholic concoctions ever since I was first introduced to it at my part time job. I would say I’m a novice, and I can only do few cocktails (with the right ingredients) after several trials. I would love to get exposed to more mixes and learn the art further. Hope I’ll have the chance to attend the event to polish my skills further.

I once created and named a seasonal cocktail for Ibis on Bencoolen back in July last year and never had a chance to do it again. Making cocktail is a great way to express a person’s mood. Mixology is a form of art that is very underrated. Most people look at mixology in the form of just mixing drinks for people who wants to drink but in fact, it takes certain skills to perfect a drink.
