The addition of Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) to Singapore’s tourism is definitely a great move, but more than its theme parks and attractions, do you know that they are a gourmet’s playground too? Christmas is approaching and the joyous festive spirit is filling the air fast. Everyone we know is making plans for dinners and that well-deserved indulgence, and by now, we have our own lists of go-to places and restaurants. But the more the merrier, right?
We went on a food trail some weeks back to curate today’s post, and we are so stoked to be sharing with you some of the festive highlights that you can find at RWS this Christmas. There is surely something that entices, and we know many families will be happy to find friendly options here that suits every generation!

FOREST
Forest is a place that we save for a date when we want modern Chinese cuisine served in a classy and elegant restaurant. On Christmas Day, Chef Sam Leong is going all out with a special 8-course lunch that comes with 13 tasting portions. Some of the dishes that you can look forward to are Braised Rice Vermicelli with Pork Belly and Deep-fried Lychee Stuffed with Crab Meat.
Throughout the month of December, Chef Sam Leong has prepared three different festive dinner menus that feature Braised Six-head Australian Abalone and Sea Whelk Soup made with double-boiled quail.

Awestruck. That was the only word that could describe our feelings when we were at Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora. The marine world is one so fascinating and it feels surreal to be dining at this stunning restaurant that is within the S.E.A Aquarium.

I’d love to try all but if I have to choose one, it’s definitely Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora. I find that the money paid is not only for the food but also for our eyes to FEAST. It’s a genius concept to incorporate S.E.A+Fine Dining. To lose yourself in the beauty & serenity of marine life is comparable to the beautiful decorations and lightings during X’mas, while enjoying good food & the company of your loved one shares they same joy. For your eyes, mouth and soul to feast and indulge, this is definitely the hightlight of Christmas. My wife and I have been there once and we love the view of the restaurant, watching the marine animals swim around as we dine. The food was delicious too and we were dying to try Cat Cora’s creations after seeing her in Masterchef USA. The ocean has a calming effect on me, one that is able to allow me to be lost in that moment in time which is not only surreal but peaceful and to a certain extent, meditative as well. Nature and its great biodiversity not only reminds us how mankind is only but one species on planet earth. Anthropocentric views are just uncalled for arrogance which should be corrected.
Everytime we go to SEA Aquarium, it will be for the kids. Having dinner at this restaurant this Christmas would be more than just a date to us, as it will also be a celebration of our anniversary on 29th December. We had our first wedding anniversary celebration dinner there last year on 7th oct with me pregnant with our first child.
