Blogging has given me the chance to try many new things – from travelling to different cities, to meeting many amazing people. Albeit one of the things that I’ve always wanted to do, but never had the chance is to bring people on a food tour.

When I was in Resorts World Genting in April, I discussed it with the folks in charge. They were quite excited about the idea of bringing my readers to try the best restaurants in Genting, but it was only when they confirmed the news a month ago – then it struck me that the food tour was finally happening.

Last month, I brought a group of 33 people to Genting for the food tour and I am happy to report that it was a very fruitful trip. Genting, to me, is my second home, and I was really excited to show everyone around. Read more to find out what we did!

Earlier this year, I had the chance to travel to New York to visit Dean & Deluca, and I had the time of my life. During that week, I ate, and ate, and ate some more. New York is a destination for every food lover, and I was simply blown away by the dining scene.

It is not my practice to write about new restaurants/cafes immediately after their opening; I have a policy of a three months buffer. But Kith Cafe has been around for a long time, so I thought it would be of no harm to share about their new outlet at Park Mall.

Singaporeans are a disgruntled lot. We complain about everything under the sun, and about the sun as well! The weather is too hot and humid for anything outdoors and so we hide in the air conditioned comforts of shopping malls. Then we bemoan the lack of things to do. This never ends, does it? Why not bear the heat, explore the green spaces we have and marvel at the beauty of nature? You may even find some hidden surprises.

Casa Verde is one of those surprises. Very few dining establishments can boast of being at the doorsteps of nature. What’s more? It is located in the heart of the city, nestled in a quiet corner of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The vibe is relaxed, with pets roaming freely in the alfresco area and people chilling after a hike in the park.

A Scoot Adventure in Sydney

I’ve had the chance to go on different media junkets over the last few years, and while all of them are very special, my recent trip to Sydney with Scoot Airlines was particularly memorable. We were part of Scoot’s inaugural flight, we ate our way around the city, we went skydiving, as well as the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb. It was in short, an awesome trip.
