1 TwentySix Restaurant East Coast Park Big Splash
I first went to 1-TwentySix restaurant at Playground @ Big Splash, East Coast Park a year ago. It was a romantic restaurant to dine in, but I thought that the food was unremarkable for the price point, so I didn’t blog about it. Two months back, I went back again for dinner as a group of friends wanted to go there.
1 Twenty Six is a large sea-fronting beach restaurant & bar. While they have a nice indoor dining room, most of the customers prefer to eat at the al fresco area where you can enjoy the sea breeze and chill out with a group of friends over dinner and drinks.

Anar Middle Eastern Restaurant Resorts World Sentosa
I have always wanted to eat more Middle Eastern food, but most of my friends are not adventurous enough to try it. I don’t know about you, but to me, there’s just something appealing about a luxurious dinner fit for Arabian kings.
While there are quite a few Middle Eastern restaurants in Holland Village and Arab Street, we lack one that truly stands out, until Anar Restaurant came along.
Located by the waterfront of Resorts World Sentosa, Anar Middle Eastern Restaurant comes from an established chain of restaurants from the Middle East, namely Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It is a fitting addition to the rank of restaurants in Resorts World Sentosa.
Da Paolo La Terrazza Italian Cuisine
Since the start of the year, I’ve made a promise to eat less ‘Western‘ food, and try more of other cuisines. I think I have been doing quite well so far.
But there are some days when you just feel like having a hearty plate of Italian pasta. I was craving for Italian food when I met the folks from BigDeal for lunch, so I suggested going to Da Paolo La Terrazza at Chip Bee Gardens.
Tiong Bahru Food Market & Hawker Centre
Street food is easily one of the best things a country can offer. Unlike other countries where you eat by the road side, Singapore’s version of street food is what we call hawker food, and they are found in food/hawker centres – which are usually located in the heartlands.
For what is lacking in the electrifying atmosphere of eating by the street, the hawker centres in singapore make up for it by serving clean and tasty food, in a comfortable environment.
Tiong Bahru Market is one of the most popular hawker centres in Singapore. I always go there when I am craving for local food. Here are some of the things that I order when I am eating there.
Chikuwa Tei Japanese Restaurant Mohamed Sultan
Much has been said about Chikuwa Tei at Mohamed Sultan road, the Japanese restaurant opened by the former Chef of Wasabi Tei at Far East Plaza.
From what I heard, the chef used to be a food nazi when he was at the previous Japanese restaurant. Although he had a nasty reputation, the place was extremely popular and there were always long queues. That said, I did not visit Wasabei Tei when he was there, so I wouldn’t know how it was like. I can assure you though, the chef was perfectly fine when we went there for dinner a few weeks ago.
