When I have cravings for Korean food, I like to go to Crystal Jade Korean BBQ Buffet. Their Nex outlet has a decent buffet spread and you can get the usual marinated meat and fish. The food is nothing fantastic, but it is acceptable for the price (weekdays: $24 nett for lunch, $28 nett for dinner; and weekends: $28 nett for lunch, $32 nett for dinner). There is also a students’ promotion $16.50 nett for lunch buffet on weekdays.

Cadbury Dairy Milk is a household name. People around me know that I have a sweet tooth, and I love (in a head-over-heels-kind-of-way) chocolates. Cadbury chocolate is my best friend and I always make sure to stock up my fridge with my favourite original milk chocolate flavour and Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut.
Being a big fan of Cadbury chocolate, imagine my happiness when they approached me to be an ambassador for Cadbury Dairy Milk’s new Marvellous Creations.
For a start, let me tell you more about the Marvellous Creations from Cadbury Dairy Milk. Unlike the usual Cadbury chocolates that come with nuts, the Marvellous Creations are filled with the wackiest possible ingredients: Jelly Crunchie Bits, Jelly Popping Candy Beanies, and Peanut Toffee Cookie. We are very lucky that Singapore is the second country in the world (after Australia) to have the Marvellous Creations. Trust me on this. You need to get them and try it for yourself.

[ Giveaway ] We will be giving away 5 hampers of Marvellous Creations – worth S$50 each. All you need to do is to answer a simple question (read more information below) and leave a comment. Also, at the end of this post, I will also be sharing how you can charter the Joyrider – an awesome Cadbury bus – for an hour of partying with your friends.

There are good steakhouses, and then there are great ones. CUT by Wolfgang Puck is definitely one of the latter. Wolfgang Puck’s outpost at Marina Bay Sands is the definition of a modern steakhouse. It is a swanky, up-scale, and posh establishment. The folks are serious about their steaks, and they do a very good one.

Mention Chili’s and everyone will think of their tasty Southwestern American favourites. The large menu always spoils us with choices – from tantalising grilled baby back ribs to their signature quesadillas, and fajita, there is always something for everyone at Chili’s. I am especially enamoured of their grilled baby back ribs and molten chocolate cake. So, I am especially excited to hear that they have launched a new “Chillin’ and Grillin’” menu.
From 30 January 2013 through 9 April 2013, you can go to Chili’s – at Tanglin Mall, Resorts World Sentosa, JCube and their newest restaurant at Central @ Clarke Quay – and enjoy the new four dishes.

They include: a Chile Garlic-Rubbed Chicken – tender chicken breast seasoned with smoked paprika over our roasted jalapeno and corn salsa, topped with melted Jack cheese and drizzled with creamy cilantro aioli; Chile Garlic-Rubbed Ribeye – Juicy smoked ribeye steak seasoned with a garlic-chile rub, topped with chipotle pesto and green onions; Triple-Smoked Burger – the perfect burger topped with melted smoky chipotle cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato and red onion; and Smoked Chicken Jalapen?o Mac & Cheese – Penne pasta in a creamy Alfredo sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, jalapen?os and sliced tender pieces of smoked chicken.
Chili’s is a great for friends and family to gather for a casual and fun meal. If you haven’t been to Chili’s recently, it’s time to drop by for their new “Chillin’ and Grillin’” menu. Check out Chili’s website for more details.

Chye Seng Huat Hardware, opened by the folks behind Papa Palheta and Loysel’s Toy, is one of the most popular cafes/coffee places in Singapore right now.
From the outside, Chye Seng Huat Hardware looks like a run-down hardware shop – but don’t be deceived by its name and exterior, it is actually a very hip coffee bar. In addition to the coffee bar, it also features a roastery, a coffee school and a private coffee tasting room.
Many people would agree that Papa Palheta started the whole cafe/coffee trend, and what they have achieved is pretty amazing. If you are a caffeine addict, there’s really no reason not to visit Chye Seng Huat Hardware. Trust me, you’d love it there.
