
That was fun right?

Nuffnang is organizing their first ever Regional Blog Award (read: regional), and the five finalist in each of the eleven categories are up for voting now. And all the nominated blogs are strong contenders in their own field, so it’s amazing that they managed to narrow down from hundreds, if not thousands of blogs in the Asia Pacific region to just five in each category.

I’ve made a verbal promises to all the folks who were present for my previous outing that I would do my next one, which was this one, very soon, probably in June I said. And then June passed by in a wink and came July. But July seemed to disappear pretty fast too! And that’s why we have August.

A while back, I received several emails telling me that I’ve been nominated for the Category, “Best food blog” by Omy, so I sleepily went to sign up for it, and completely forgotten about it. Last week I got a call from the folks at Omy, that I’ve been chosen as one of the ten finalist for the food blog category! The voting period starts from June 15th until July 31th, only one vote is allowed each day, and you even need to login to participate, what a bummer!
My vote goes to Camemberu, I’ve been an avid reader of Catherine’s blog since a long time ago; her posts are always full of enthusiasm, I can always feel her excitement and earnest attitude when she writes about food. So if you want to have a say in deciding the results for the blog awards, you can go to Sgblogawards.omy.sg and under the Best food blog category, vote for your favourite!

Brad is hungry
It’s over. It’s finally over. Two years, it has been a long-coming, I’m really thankful to ladyironchef, for being there with me through the darkest moments. There’s no celebration, and the euphoria feeling is long gone. I’m just glad it’s finally, over. Now, the start of something new!
To coincide with this joyous occasion, it’s my 400th post, no big deal but still another mark. I’m blogging in a frenzy, with a new post every other day, do try to catch up! I hope ladyironchef has become a daily dosage for you, now, gawk and drool over all the gorgeous food!

There was five of us, five days, and six restaurants. Everyday a different place, everyday new surprises. I’m refering to the dim sum extravagant that I took part courtesy of Cuisine & Wine Asia magazine. For their may/june edition, there’s this dim sum special feature, and five of the food bloggers including myself went for the tasting.

This year, rather than wait till the end of the year, Yixiao (hautestuff) and I are organising this year’s Food Bloggers’ Lunch on Saturday, May 23.
All the signature dishes from Epicurious:
Mushroom soup paired with croque Monsieur toast
Asian salad paired with bacon-wrapped chicken
Mini burger paired with spaghetti vietnamese bolognaise
Apple crumbled paired with french toast
And oh ya, I forgot, free flow of iced lemon tea & ribena lime

The “early dinner” on 2th May Saturday will start at 4pm and lasted till 6pm, is at $25 nett per head. I’m looking at 40 person max this time round, do RVSP early.
