[Closed] Collective Brewers – Cold Drip Coffee And Pandan Chicken Burger

It was lovely to step into the quaint little coffee house, Collective Brewers, along the rather quiet Changi Road on a weekday afternoon. The interior was spacious with very ample sunlight flowing in. We could also catch a whiff of the aromatic coffee being served to other customers.

While we came specifically for the Cold Drip coffee, we saw a ton of awesome hot food on the menu; think pastas and burgers.

So here’s sharing some simple thoughts on what we liked about Collective Brewers – yes yes yes, their coffee please.

Stepping into Ninethirty by awfullychocolate in East Coast Road is like visiting a long lost friend at his/her home. An immediate sense of comfort welcomes you, and your senses will be drawn to the aromatic smells wafting from the kitchen.

Ninethirty also doubles up as the flagship Awfully Chocolate store, and it is the only concept of its kind in Singapore.

Nine Thirty Restaurant

It is a casual bistro that is suitable for a night out with a group of friends, or a date with your partner. It is nothing too fancy, just a simple and unpretentious space that serves a reasonably-priced menu of comforting Western food with Asian touches, chocolate cocktails as well as the most amazing chocolate desserts.

Tucked away in the iconic former Singapore Badminton Hall, Brawn & Brains provides a nice and fresh twist to the older surrounding buildings. The clean interior of the cafe allows for ample natural light to stream in – making great Insta-worthy moments.

We were greeted by a full house on a weekday lunch hour. That did not stop us from stepping in. We were welcomed by fresh bakes on display, as well as savoury lunch options. The neat interior with greyish tones makes it an ideal cafe for a nice comforting meal; you bet we were in love.

Ladyironchef Cocktail Making Workshop at Changi City Point’s Table Manners on 16 August was a huge success, and we want to thank all our supportive readers for being such a great audience, as well as Changi City Point for putting things together. It was a wonderful afternoon.

Throughout the two-hour long event, Bar Stories’ Head Bartender, Dave educated and entertained us simultaneously with his useful bartending demonstrations. His kooky sense of humour was also something everyone enjoyed while the crowd engaged in learning and preparing four delicious samples of Dave’s cocktail concoctions.

We sincerely hope that everyone had a great time learning about the fundamental preparations of cocktails. It was such a pleasure meeting our lovely readers! The Katong district used to be home to countless of prestigious residential estates up to the mid 20th century. It was later taken over by the government and rebuilt to what we see today – donned with Peranakan-inspired shophouses, and in them lies many hidden gems and secrets. The famed Katong Laksa is located in the vicinity too.

And in the recent years, the number of cafes we can find at Tanjong Katong or Joo Chat is increasing. It is undoubtedly a prime spot in the eyes of cafe owners, and we can see new themed establishments emerging in the area. We are often jealous of the dining choices that residents living there can get; well, it is almost impossible to run out of food options if you live in that district. But anything for food; we are always dining out at Tanjong Katong and Joo Chiat!
