EIGHT SPICES ROASTED WHOLE TURKEY
A must-have at any Christmas table is a Roasted Whole Turkey. Edge’s turkey has been marinated and seasoned with eight different spices. Each layer of flavour from the spices will meld together in perfect harmony as you sink your teeth into each piece of succulent meat.
The tender turkey meat pairs well with oven-roasted vegetables – a blend of smoky spices and a mild sweetness melded with a charred flavour.
PINEAPPLE & CLOVE GLAZED BONE-IN GAMMON HAM
Another Christmas must-have would definitely be glazed ham. It’s great for sharing and it’s ultra-delicious and has the ability to whet anybody’s appetites. There’s just something about this sweet-and-savoury pairing that makes people happy.
Edge’s Pineapple & Clove Glazed Bone-In Gammon Ham ticks all of the above boxes. The pineapple and clove glaze lends the smoky ham a complex flavour – a blend of sweetness, spice and with a slight tang. This holiday roast will have you craving seconds (and thirds)!
OVEN-ROASTED GARLIC MUSTARD & ROSEMARY ANGUS PRIME BEEF
If you’re a meat-lover and can’t resist a mouth-wateringly good roast beef, look out for Edge’s Oven-Roasted Garlic Mustard & Rosemary Angus Prime Beef. Served with a thick gravy, these perfectly-cooked beef slices will be your new favourite festive dish.
The Angus Prime Beef was served slightly rare with a well-marbled middle. We loved how the beef was so tender and juicy – each bite bursting with flavours from the rosemary and garlic mustard. Pair it with some roasted veggies and you’ll be rubbing your bellies in satisfaction.
CHARCOAL CRUST ROAST GAMMON HAM PIZZA
Pizza fans rejoice! You will be getting the best of both worlds with Edge’s Charcoal Crust Roast Gammon Ham Pizza — they have spun their own festive twist to the usual pizza by adding in Gammon Ham, one of their festive Christmas treats.
We loved how the cheese and gammon ham go so well with each other while the arugula topping gives that peppery hint!
SEAFOOD ON ICE
Edge’s roasted meats may take centre stage this Christmas but their smorgasbord of fresh seafood should not be underestimated. What you can expect is freshly sliced salmon, octopus and tuna sashimi.
Choose from a wide range of oceanic gems ranging from huge lobsters, chunky prawns, crayfish, scallops and mussels to clams, and eat to your heart’s content! When you are here, expect nothing less than fresh and juicy crustacean meat.
Did someone say unlimited sashimi? Glad we have your attention. Be sure to save room for thick slices of tuna, octopus and salmon sashimi.
NAM-TOK SALMON SASHIMI
Also on Edge’s festive seafood lineup is Nam-Tok Salmon Sashimi. Fresh salmon sashimi is dressed in a marinade of lime and dried chillis, giving the silky salmon new depth of flavour. We simply devoured the sashimi – the lime and chilli marinade was just too addictive!
Edge also plates up some seriously delectable renditions of our local classics. This year’s lineup includes Singapore Black Pepper Crab and Wok-Fried Kway Teow with Pacific Clams & Eggs.
Black Pepper Crab is a Singaporean favourite. Sweet crabmeat paired with a savoury pepper sauce that you simply can’t get enough of – what’s not to love? The fried kway teow is equally delicious – the charred “wok-hei” taste whilst prominent, still allows the flavour of the seafood shine through.
The holiday lineup at Edge also includes a wide range of Asian cuisines. These Asian specialities will tantalize your tastebuds in the best way possible.
If you’re a fan of spice, the peranakan Udang Masak Lemak Nenas is a spicy seafood curry with fresh prawns and tomatoes. The spice is strong but is balanced out by the sweetness of the tomatoes and the succulent prawns!
You can also expect Saffron Turkey Tikka. Instead of the traditional chicken tikka loved by anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine, turkey is used. The juicy turkey meat is so wonderfully spiced and flavoured, it’s sure to be a hot favourite this season.
The last dish hails from China – “Zha Jiang Noodles” with shredded cucumber and chilli. This Chinese cuisine classic is a mix of “QQ” noodles and a savoury meat sauce that’s impossible to resist.
CARVING STATION & MEAT SELECTION
Besides the festive goodies, Edge’s normal buffet lineup is nothing short of spectacular and is just as mouthwateringly delicious. Look forward to the abundance of grilled meats at their Grill Station and their freshly cut roasts at the Carving Station.
Our favourites were the tender Baked Whole Salmon, Crackling Roast Pork and the Grilled Beef with Roasted Potatoes! Not forgetting the umami-bomb that was the Beef Stew – fork-tender beef is stewed in a thick, rich savoury stew.
STREET FOOD GALORE
Even more than just local delights, Edge has live stations to cater to street food junkies – a DIY Lok-Lok station for those who love their goodies on skewers and even a live Chicken Rice Station where skilled chefs will chop up some tender chicken for you on the spot!
CHRISTMAS BREAD PUDDING WITH PISTACHIOS & DRIED FRUITS
Of course, a Christmas table isn’t complete without some sort of bread pudding. This ooey-gooey treat is well-loved by young and old for its nostalgic flavour, reminding everyone of home as soon as you taste it!
Bread is steeped in sweet custard and topped with a vibrant assortment of fruits and nuts, making for this unforgettable Christmas classic. We loved how despite its simple, rustic look, it was still a flavour and texture explosion.
FESTIVE CAKES & DESSERTS
This festive period, Edge has created some delicious sweet treats for diners; think Jivara Milk Chocolate Pear William nd Caramel Nut Log Cake, Durian Log Cake and Ye Olde English Fruitcake with Brandy Sauce.
It’s time to throw your diets out of the window for one night and savour these delectable desserts! Our favourite had to be the Durian Log Cake with such a fresh durian cream filling. Durian-lovers will have a new favourite dessert once you taste this indulgent log cake.
If you’re someone who can’t go without a little alcohol in their desserts, the boozy brandy sauce for the Ye Olde English Fruitcake will have you craving for more!
A trip to Edge is simply not complete without a trip to their epic dessert shrine. Stepping into the sweets zone, you’ll feel like you’re a Charlie in the chocolate factory, reliving your dreams of being surrounded by all-things sugary and sweet.
This is the station to worship and stuff your mouths full of sweet, chocolatey goodness, as they have a wide array of quality desserts, such as Nama Chocolates, petite cakes and chocolate pralines.
Do not leave Edge without trying their amazing Nama Chocolates! They come in three flavours: Matcha, Rum Chocolate, and Raspberry. These tiny indulgent squares have a smooth, velvety texture that is dusted with fine cocoa powder. When we bit into them, they immediately melted in our mouths, oozing a thick, luscious filling.
