[Closed] Alkaff Mansion Ristorante – Sunday Prosecco Brunch With Free Flow Of Prosecco And Wines

Alkaff Sunday Brunch

Perched atop Telok Blangah Hill is an opulent colonial building occupied by Italian Restaurant Alkaff Mansion Ristorante. The bungalow was once a highly sought-after destination amongst the entitled in the 1930s, where it was renowned for the most extravagant socialite parties.

Painstakingly restored to its grandeur in 2011, all present-day visitors are warmly welcomed to experience the glorious splendour of yesteryears while enjoying authentic Italian fare. And on Sundays, Alkaff Mansion Ristorante offers a decadent buffet spread of Italian gourmet alongside unlimited flow of Prosecco, White and Red wines for only S$98++ per adult.

Sunday Prosecco Brunch

The seemingly hefty price tag is actually an amazing deal, especially when compared to the average rates in Singapore’s fine dining industry. Diners get to indulge in unlimited servings of fresh seafood, fine meats, pastas in a variety of sauces, and refreshing bubbles! You would probably have to pay twice more when ordering such amounts in other fancy establishments.

So, what’s not to love about Alkaff Mansion Ristorante’s Sunday Prosecco Brunch?

“The ultimate champagne brunch.” That was the only thought we had on our minds while enjoying our feast at mezza9 Grand Hyatt Singapore’s Sunday Champagne Brunch (S$138++ for free flow of Perrier Jouët Grand Brut champagne, premium red and white wines, beers, mojitos and bloody marys, and S$118 with free flow of soft drinks and coffee/tea).

mezza9 at Grand Hyatt Singapore is an institution for Sunday brunch. Its vibrant and upbeat atmosphere makes it the perfect place for family and friends to spend Sundays at. With nine different dining experiences – including the grill, seafood, Thai, steam basket, yakitori, sushi, deli, patisserie, and bar – complete with free flow of champagne, wines and cocktails, there is something for everyone.

The six show kitchens at mezza9 are the perfect stage for the team of talented chefs to whip up their storms, while the friendly service crews are always doing their rounds and making sure that tables are cleared, cutleries are changed, and that your champagne flute is never empty.

Start from the Japanese kitchen, because Japanese food is always a great idea. Tempura, freshly grilled yakitori and sashimi salad are excellent, but make a dash for the array of sashimi and sushi. The Chinese kitchen has excellent roast meats. Pork belly, spare ribs, BBQ char siew and roast duck… Everything is sublime. For more meat, head to the grill, which features roasted chicken, slow roasted black angus prime sirloin and roasted lamb leg.

Seafood lovers will be mind-blown by the selection at the crustacean bar. Grand Hyatt prides itself on serving sustainable seafood, and over here, you will be spoiled by the variety of seafood such as Spencer gulf wild king prawns, Tasmanian mussels, Canadian lobster, Sri Lankan mud crabs, and freshly shucked oysters from France and Australia. Let’s pull our chairs to the seafood bar and feast all day long.

The pastry team at mezza9 is out to impress with its tantalising creations. Bread pudding, citron tart, cream puffs, chocolate tart, oreo cheesecake, and homemade gelato will send you to dessert paradise. And, we mean it when we say we were close to stealing the entire tray of Tiramisu.

If you are thinking of where to go for mother’s day, celebrate the occasion in style at mezza9′s Mother’s Day Sunday Brunch. For more details, check out the promotion here.

Pete’s Place Sunday Italian Prosecco Brunch

Pete's Place

What’s better than Italian food? An Italian Sunday brunch with free flow of wine and prosecco, of course! One of the oldest Italian restaurants in Singapore, Pete’s Place at Grand Hyatt Singapore presents its Sunday Italian Prosecco Brunch (S$58++ with selected juices and coffee/tea, S$82++ for free flow of house red/white wine, prosecco, Tiger draft beer and Campari cocktails).

As soon as we stepped in to the charming restaurant located at the basement of Grand Hyatt Singapore, we knew it was going to be a good meal. Checkered table cloth, brick walls, wine cellars, and an impressive buffet spread welcomed us. It did not take us long to fall in love with this hidden gem in town that radiates an undeniable rustic enchantment.

Pete's Place Sunday Brunch

Your feast begins at the fresh seafood section – dig in to crabs, mussels, prawns, scallops and freshly shucked oysters. Equally enticing was the cold cuts station, where we indulged in salamis, ham and endless servings of freshly shaved prosciutto with rock melon. The mains include chickan cacciatore, deep fried calamari, braised beef cheeks, and the very addictive squid ink gnocchi. Pasta lovers who cannot do without your first course will also be treated to freshly prepared pasta-of-the-day.

Wait, we haven’t mentioned that there are also freshly baked pizzas from the wood-fired oven, have we? But save some tummy space for the carving station where roasted beef sirloin and lamb leg await us. For something less heavy, there is also an oven baked whole barramundi.

We were also blown away by the dessert offerings at Pete’s Place. Chocolate pistachio cake, black forest cake, cheese cake, almond biscotti, mango mousse; Viva la dolce vita! But the tiramisu completely stole the show. It was one of the better tiramisu that we have had in Singapore, and we would come back to Pete’s Place just for this. The rocky road was also exceptional. The Sunday brunch also comes with a selection of quality homemade Italian gelato – quite the perfect ending to a marvellous Sunday.
