Eating in Bangkok Thailand

Eating in BKK

Since it was my first visit to Bangkok Thailand after many years, everything had to be perfect. I wanted to see, shop, and eat all the things that are special here. I did a bit of research by reading blogs and getting tips from friends who go to Bangkok every year.

We arrived in Suvarnabhumi International Airport with an empty stomach. Throughout the three days, we ate our way through the capital city of Thailand.

Bangkok in HD Full Colours

Four Faced Buddha

Bangkok - the capital city of Thailand – is one of the most exciting cities in Asia. Besides magnificent temples and palaces, it also has busy markets, vibrant nightlife, and of course, plenty of good food. Back in July, I went to Bangkok for a short weekend getaway, and boy, it was so much fun.

With the major floods in the past few months, it has not been an easy period for the Thai people. But I’m glad that everything is slowly returning to normal in the land of smiles, and from what I’ve heard, most of the areas in Bangkok have recovered from the flooding.

Here are some of the photos that I took during my trip to Bangkok.

With prices of airline tickets falling faster than a soufflé, everyone should go for a holiday. What to do on rainy days

What to do on rainy days

It has been raining a lot recently, not that I’m complaining, since I’ve been mostly staying at home after coming back from KL.

I’m not sure about you, but rainy days do funny things to me. They say a picture tells a thousand words, so I got my uber-talented friend Missim to draw this for me. Rainy days make me hungry. Rainy days make me sleepy. Rainy days make me fat.

I hope the rain isn’t disrupting your party plans. Have a Merry Christmas, you guys!

Best Strawberry Shortcakes in Singapore

Strawberry Shortcake

A good strawberry shortcake is one that has pillowy soft sponge cake with sweet and fresh strawberries, and super delicious whipped cream.

It is an old-fashioned and rustic cake that is perfect as a mid-afternoon tea break, or for a sweet ending after dinner. It is an everyday cake; one that you can always turn to when in need of a pick-me-up. Here is a list of the Best Strawberry Shortcakes in Singapore.

Graze at Martin Road No. 38

Graze

Note: Graze is now closed.

One of the good things about living in Singapore is that there are so many restaurants around. Even though I eat out quite often, it is still impossible for me to try all of them.

The new Graze at 38 Martin Road (sister to the original Graze at Rochester Park) is a relatively new restaurant, and I’ve been wanting to go there since my visit to KHA next door.

Graze is actually quite close to my ideal restaurant. It is classy, elegant, sexy, romantic, and modern. It’s the kind of place where you can go for a business luncheon, a romantic date, a laid-back weekend brunch, and even a private party.
