Bangkok - the capital city of Thailand – is one of the most exciting cities in Asia. Besides magnificent temples and palaces, it also has busy markets, vibrant nightlife, and of course, plenty of good food. Back in July, I went to Bangkok for a short weekend getaway, and boy, it was so much fun.

With the major floods in the past few months, it has not been an easy period for the Thai people. But I’m glad that everything is slowly returning to normal in the land of smiles, and from what I’ve heard, most of the areas in Bangkok have recovered from the flooding.

HELLO FROM PARIS!!!

Everything has been amazing so far. Like really awesome. I’ve always wanted to visit Paris, but I never would have imagined I would get the chance so soon.

I was thrilled when I received an invitation from Martell to join them on the Martell Puregourmet tour to Cognac. We got an insider view of what goes on behind the scenes in Martell, and it was really fascinating! We drank, we ate, and we drank some more.

I’ll be sharing more on that in another post. Meanwhile, I’ve been eating my way through Paris during the past few days. Before I leave the land of bread-cheese-crepe-foie gras-macaron-wine for Barcelona, let me show you some photos of Paris in HD Full Colours.

I’ve been travelling quite a bit during the second half of this year, so I thought I’d share about my trip to Bali before flying off to Paris this weekend.

The first time I went to Bali was many years ago and to be honest, I couldn’t remember much of it. This time round, I did some research online and I managed to try quite a few places when I was there. After three days of nonstop eating, all I can say is Bali has an amazing dining scene. There are so many fantastic restaurants, I can’t wait to go back again next year!

Philippines has never been far from my thoughts since my trip to Manila last year. I made a promise to visit the beautiful country again, so I jumped at the chance when I managed to get cheap flights for a short getaway to Cebu.

Cebu – one of the most developed provinces in the country – is a province in the Philippines which consists of the main Cebu Island and 167 surrounding islands. Alongside Boracay, it is also a top tourist destination in Philippines.

Bring A&W back to Singapore!

Batam is an island in Riau Islands Province of Indonesia. It is located approximately 20km off Singapore, with the ferry journey from Singapore to Batam taking around 45 minutes – the perfect weekend getaway near Singapore.

It is a shame that Batam has been known as the place where dirty old men go in search of sex. To me, Batam is a nice place where you can enjoy fun water sports, fresh seafood, cheap shopping and affordable spa & massages.

Things to do in Hong Kong

After my trip to Hong Kong in September, I wasn’t expecting to see the vibrant city so soon, at least not within this year. But things always happen when you are least expecting them, so when an invitation came from the Novotel Group to gather a few bloggers from all over Asia for a short holiday in the land of dim sum and roast goose — my answer was short and sweet: YES! I want to eat egg tarts!

On my previous trip, we were scrambling around Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and Lautau Island and it was more of a touch-and-go as we wanted to see as many places we could.
