The Coffee Academics’ full flagship store in Singapore is slated to open early December 2015 at Scotts Square. Meanwhile, it has set up a pop-up kiosk just outside their soon-to-be-opened permanent location. Truth be told, we were really upset when November 8 at Upper Thomson shut its doors a few months ago. Thankfully, the same people behind November 8 has opened a brand new cafe & bar concept in the same Thomson V One Building and it is called Five by Five (5 x 5).

The 2-week old casual establishment is decked in an all-white interior with minimalistic wooden furnishings. Five by Five is one of the rare few cafes in Singapore that opens till midnight daily (except for Tuesdays).
