Afternoon Tea at The Regent Singapore Tea Lounge

Afternoon Tea Regent Singapore

All my friends who have been to the Tea Lounge @ The Regent Singapore’s for their afternoon tea, have been raving about it. Many of them even go to the extent of calling it one of the best afternoon tea in Singapore. Naturally, I’m curious if The Regent Tea Lounge is worth all the hype.

In my previous post on Jewel Artisan Chocolate’s Afternoon Tea, I’ve mentioned that there’s a difference between Afternoon Tea and High Tea.

At The Regent Singapore’s Tea Lounge, they have both the traditional English Afternoon Tea ($38++) with the desserts/pastries/sandwiches on a 3 tier dessert stand during weekdays, and a local high tea buffet ($52++) on weekends.

Da Paolo Restaurant & Bistro Bar Rochester Park

Da Paolo Rochester Park

“Have you tried Da Paolo’s tiramisu? It’s the best tiramisu in Singapore!”

I have always wanted to go Da Paolo Restaurant & Bistro Bar because of the tiramisu. All my friends who had it before have nothing but praise for their tiramisu.

Like the other Rochester Park restaurants, Da Paolo Restaurant & Bistro Bar offers a superb al fresco dining option. It’s great for dinner (maybe not for lunch under the scorching sun), otherwise you can always choose to dine indoor.

The best thing about having a food blog is knowing the food bloggers from the other countries. I’m always very happy whenever my overseas friends come to Singapore as it gives me the opportunity to play host and bring them around to try the best food in Singapore.

Bukit Timah Food Market & Hawker Centre Singapore

Bukit Timah Hawker Oyster Omelette

When it comes to cheap and good food in West of Singapore, the first place that comes to mind is definitely Bukit Timah Food Market & Hawker Centre. It is one of my usual hang-out places for local food as it’s only ten minutes away from my home.

It can be quite a daunting task when you are ordering food in hawker centres. Which stalls do we order from? Shall we flip a coin, judge by the number of newspaper cuttings, or simply look at the queue of each stall? If you are planning to make a trip to Bukit Timah Hawker Centre, I’ll like to share with you some of my favorite food there.

Jewel Artisan Chocolate Afternoon High Tea Singapore

Jewel Artisan Chocolate Orchard Central

Sometimes, all it takes is chocolate and cake to make me happy. I’m very sure that I’m not the only one who feels this way, so if you like chocolate and cake too, you should drop by Jewel Artisan Chocolate for their afternoon high tea.

They are located on the second level of Orchard Central. At just $14.80++, I’d think that Jewel Artisan Chocolate has a pretty value for money tea set for those who are not willing to splurge $38++/pax to have afternoon tea at a Five Star Hotel.

All Day Breakfast at eM by the River Robertson Quay

eM by the river Singapore

The original plan was to have churros at Alegro Clark Quay, unfortunately it was closed and the churros evaded me yet again. We walked along the river banks and found ourselves looking at the brunch menu from eM by the River. They serve all day breakfast (from 9am to 3pm daily), and we managed to make it for the last order.

I have been wanting to visit eM by the River for some time. They are one of the Gallery Hotel restaurants, positioned at one end of Robertson Quay (closer to Red House Seafood restaurant and Boomarang if you have difficulty locating them).

I’m not surprised because I get many requests to blog more about cheap and good Zhi Char in Singapore all the time.
