We did it and it proved to be among the most talked about highlights of our recently concluded wedding celebrations. Llaollao Catering is the newest arm of the very popular Spanish froyo brand, and it is an idea that is nothing short of refreshing. Our guests agreed that arriving early for the cocktail reception was well worth it.
All coffee lovers must have heard of the famous Omotesando Koffee in Tokyo. What was meant to be a pop-up store at a tiny, traditional Japanese house in Omotesando’s residential area ended up lasting for an extended period of five whopping years.
Name of its novelty spread far and wide – even tourists were making special trips to check out Omotesando Koffee.
Sadly, Tokyo’s famous Omotesando Koffee’s has shut its doors approximately half a year ago. But that is not the end of the beloved coffee brand. There are now a few outlets across Japan and the hipster coffee shop has too recently opened its very first international outpost in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Hong Kongers you guys have no idea how jealous we are!
It is no secret that Dishoom is our favourite Indian restaurant in London. Sexy and charming, Dishoom should be on everyone’s bucket list when visiting London. No other Indian restaurants come close.
While there are many other great Indian restaurants in London, Dishoom is the one you should visit if you only have time for one.
Queues are part of the restaurants’ characteristics, and during peak hours, be prepared to wait up to an hour for a table. And we are telling you go queue anyway, because hell yeah, a meal there is better than ten other Indian meals elsewhere.

Known for dishing out stunning Cantonese-style dishes and artisanal dim sum, Mitzo at Grand Park Orchard has just revamped their Weekend Brunch and there is really a whole lot to be obsessed about. The Weekend Brunch is all about indulging in the finest at Mitzo. Love their signature Char Siew? Yes, you will have that free flow.
And in this revamped menu, everyone gets to pick one bamboo clam dish, one live lobster dish and an abalone dish each! That pretty much already pays for the S$68++ per person for brunch. How value-for-money!
Local Cha Chaan Teng Chau Kee in Hong Kong has become quite an Instagram sensation with its splendid Golden Lava French Toasts. While our love for Liu Sha Baos remains eternal, we got to admit that we have too taken a liking to these fluffy French toasts with a Cantonese twist.
Of course, Golden Lava French Toast is not the only item being sold here. Chau Kee’s comprehensive menu includes an impressive selection of handcrafted dim sums and Chinese-style dishes such as Siu Mais and Silver Pin Noodles.
Due to Chau Kee’s overwhelming popularity, guests will have to wait up to at least 20 to 30 minutes before getting a seat.
Scoop Therapy is a dessert-only spinoff of Group Therapy, serving mainly ice cream and ice cream-centric desserts. The small space sits in the East of Singapore, and you might already have seen photos of their Instagram-worthy desserts on your social media feeds.
We were pretty tempted by pictures of their sultry S’mores and Ice Cream Bomb floating around social media, so we made a trip down to find out what the hype is all about.

This immensely popular durian buffet sees a sell-out every year, with slots taken within days of launch, and if you haven’t been, you totally should this year. The crowd-favourite event is also a display of the world’s largest stack of durians, with premium grades and types for you to go crazy over.
Durian Fest 2016 will be held over a period of three days – 19 to 21 August 2016. It is your time to party with durians, on top of the selection of tropical fruits. It is a definite feast. Durian on free flow – does that not sound like the best summer idea already?!
