Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably would have come across some form of these spicy noodles from Hai Chi Jia that have been making waves across the internet for the past few weeks. These popular snacks in Singapore have become very popular as they are not only easy to prepare but incredibly addictive.

Joining the popular Mala Oden and Spicy Clam Noodles (Hua Jia Fen) is the new Jiao Ma Guo Ba Fen, which is essentially our favourite spicy mala vermicelli paired with chunks of crispy rice.

If you love the Mala Oden and Spicy Clam Noodles from Hai Chi Jia, you definitely need to give the Jiao Ma Guo Ba Fen a shot and get a few cups of these from snacksdelivery.sg.

READ OUR REVIEWs ON THE MALA ODEN AND HAI CHI JIA ‘S SPICY CLAM NOODLES

The Jiao Ma Guo Ba Fen is available on snacksdelivery.sg for just S$19.90 per carton, which contains 6 individual cups of these spicy mala noodles.

As compared to the popular Mala Oden, the Jiao Ma Guo Ba Fen from Hai Chi Jia is less spicy and has a creamier consistency. Despite that, each cup still packs a fiery punch and is perfect for people who love a little spice in their life.

Uncover the cup and find vermicelli noodles, chilli oil, seasoning, vegetables and of course, the crispy rice.

Putting the entire thing together is as easy as one-two-three. Simply unwrap all the provided ingredients, pop them back into the cup (except the crispy rice), add boiling water and wait for 4 to 6 minutes. When you’re done, top everything off with the crispy rice and enjoy!

The lid of Jiao Ma Guo Ba Fen’s packaging has a quote that says “Oh, my God, this is delicious” and indeed, nothing can be more accurate than that statement.

The creamy, spicy soup that has a slight chicken flavour is greedily soaked up by the noodles. For a contrast in texture, bite into the crispy rice which provides a satisfying crunch. We also recommend dunking the crispy rice into the rich soup for 2 to 3 seconds to soak up all those addictive flavours.

For those of you who can’t take spicy food, fret not as the Jiao Ma Guo Ba Fen from Hai Chi Jia has a tolerable spice level that is not as strong as the Mala Oden.

Did reading this make you salivate? Try the Jiao Ma Guo Ba Fen from Hai Chi Jia yourself and get these snacks online from snacksdelivery.sg. 1 carton with 6 boxes of Jiao Ma Guo Ba Fen costs just S$19.90 and there is also the option of getting 3 cartons with 18 boxes of Guo Ba Fen for just S$58.80 with free delivery.

Run by the same guys behind the now-defunct Ronin and Punch at North Canal Road, Gather is their new concept at Raffles Hotel Arcade that opened its doors on the 1st of February.

Gather serves both sweet and savoury French crêpes, sandwiches, baked goods, coffee and other beverages. Being a treat loved by most, crêpes are no stranger to us, but what makes Gather stand out amongst the rest? Read on to find out!

Being situated in a British colonial designed building, Gather boasts an old-school charm. The simple interior and open concept was inviting and comfortable; it is a cosy place to unwind and spend some private time.

They have a merchandise corner as well for those who might be interested in take-homes such as soap, fragrance oil and so on.

We had the Parma Ham (S$18) that came with Italian parma ham, Gruyère, cheddar and egg. It was absolutely delightful with a crispy outer layer and when layered and folded, it had a chewy and fluffy texture. The parma ham and cheeses paired well with the light batter, while the egg in the middle helped to reduce the saltiness.

You’d expect this combination to be too overwhelming with sodium that it might be cloyingly sick but we promise you, it isn’t.

You get to witness the skilful crêpe making process over the counter as they freshly prepare it upon ordering at their open-concept kitchen.

Currently, they have six types of savoury and three types of sweet crêpes on their menu. Main or dessert, up to you!

Breakfast is never complete without a cuppa. The White (S$5 for 5oz) had a nice froth and was fragrant, but no wow-factor from it nor a differentiating flavour from other coffee shops. Still, it is a decent cup of coffee for a casual caffeine fix.

The crêpe itself was enough to make us want to revisit this cafe again. Good ambience and great hospitality from the staff there! They were really cheerful, welcoming and polite, constantly making sure everything was of satisfaction and made appropriate recommendations.

Also, they are still in their soft launch period until the 5th of February where payment is by a tipping basis to pay-as-you-like. Give these guys a visit ASAP for some great food and vibes!

Ask any Singaporean living overseas what Singapore food they miss and we can bet with you that the majority of them would say chicken rice. Chicken rice holds a special place in many of our hearts and it is no mystery why this simple yet flavourful dish has always been a crowd favourite.

We aren’t the only place in the world that has chicken rice though; Bangkok has its own rendition of the dish and while they both may look pretty similar, they do have their differences too.

We tried out Bangkok’s famous Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice on our recent trip to Bangkok and here is how we feel it compared to Singapore’s Hainanese Chicken Rice.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

The Iced Matcha Latte was nothing to shout about but it was a pleasant treat nonetheless. It was not overly sweet and it went well with the dessert we ordered. The Tiramisu was light and the sponge cake inside was fluffy and airy.
