I don’t care if you are going to throw tomatoes or rotten eggs at me, but I am going to declare Ramen Santouka at Central as the best ramen restaurant in Singapore.

We’re raised to believe that there is always something better out there. What if there isn’t? What if this is the best ramen place in Singapore, but I keep insisting on finding a better one elsewhere? Does it mean I have to try a few lousy ramen restaurants before I come back to Ramen Santouka and believe that they have the best ramen in Singapore?

Sometimes, things happen for a reason and there’s just no explanation why it happens. Take for example, when I woke up on the wrong side of my bed that day, I decided that the only thing that I could do to make things right – was to have a Tonkatsu.

The question is obviously: which Japanese restaurant has the best tonkatsu in Singapore? I am in a rampage mood for tonkatsu. If there’s one thing that I cannot stand — it is settling for second best. Only the finest, the best tonkatsu will do for me. Having tried Tonkichi, Tetsu and Tampopo Japanese restaurant — I wanted somewhere new. That’s when I thought of Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin at Ion Orchard.

Tuesday is usually the hardest day of the week. Even though everyone always grumbles about Mondays blues, I’d think that Monday isn’t as bad as Tuesday since we are fully recharged during the weekends. But Tuesday, they are neither here nor there. It isn’t midweek yet, nor is it just-one-more-day-to-Friday, and obviously it isn’t TGIF.

Anyway, my point is: Tuesday sucks. So stop asking if everything is okay, because it is not. But my dear, I want to give you some hope. I want you to see the light at the end of the tunnel week. It’s a pity that Korean food in the Singapore food scene isn’t as strong as its Japanese counterpart. Most people tend to crave for sushi rather than kimchi. I’m sure you can easily rattle off a list of good Japanese restaurants, but it’s not the same story when it comes to Korean Restaurants in Singapore.

My friends were craving for Korean food, and after hearing so much about Togi Korean Restaurant at Mosque Street, we decided to check it out on a weekday night.
