The Marmalade Pantry, one of our favourite homegrown bistros, is gearing up for the festivities with the launch of its ‘Once Upon a Christmas’ festive gourmet highlights menu. Creatively curated and excellently executed every year, The Marmalade Pantry’s Christmas menu is a must-have for year-end parties and is sure to be a hit!
This year, The Marmalade Pantry offers three festive takeaway and delivery bundles showcasing a mouth-watering spread of the season’s delights along with four types of holiday wines to heighten the year-end revelry. The gourmet highlights can be ordered online for takeaway and delivery, so more time can be spent soaking in the holiday festivities at a decadent party with friends or a cosy gathering amongst loved ones.
Those choosing to dine out in one of The Marmalade Pantry’s outlets can partake in a delicious 3-Course Festive Set Dinner (only available at The Marmalade Pantry Downtown) or charming Jovial Afternoon Tea & Moscato Set.
Highlighting traditional roasts with a modern twist like the new Roasted Turkey with Honey, Lavender, and Peppercorn, as well as the Lavender Honey Pepper Chicken, this year’s menu also include new classics such as the Lemon & Thyme Slow-Baked Salmon Fillet and Rosemary-Infused Roasted Ribeye.
House-brined overnight before being slow-roasted to a perfect golden brown, the new Roasted Turkey with Honey, Lavender, and Peppercorn (S$128+, 3.6kg) is succulent, juicy, and it is definitely going to be the highlight from this year’s menu.
We are also excited to see that the all-time favourite, Maple & Clove Glazed Smoked Gammon Ham (S$98+, 1.5kg), is making a return this year – a hunky, boneless gammon ham with a fragrant maple glaze, the sweet and savoury ham is marinated overnight and roasted to perfection.
Cured overnight and marinated in bright lemon zest and thyme before being slow-baked till flaky yet moist, the new Lemon & Thyme Slow-Baked Salmon Fillet (S$78, 0.8kg) is the perfect alternative to the meats.
Debuting this year are the Chilli Con Carne with Cornbread (S$28+) and Impossible Beef Lasagne ($32+).
The former highlights hearty chilli con carne, a robust stew of minced beef, red capsicum, onions, carrots, kidney beans, encased by house-made cornbread. The latter is a toothsome plant-based lasagne with layers of Impossible Beef ‘Bolognese sauce’, al dente pasta sheets, mozzarella and grana padano cheese.
Christmas parties are not complete without log cakes and the two new flavours by The Marmalade Pantry are bound to please. The Classic Chocolate Truffle Log Cake (S$68+) features a rich 60% dark chocolate truffle core enveloped in a chocolate crème of melted chocolate ganache and whipped cream.
The Tangy Lemon Pistachio Log Cake (S$68+) offers a lighter, fruity rendition of a traditional yule log with a lemon white chocolate truffle core wrapped in a pistachio frosting of pistachio paste and Chantilly cream and rolled with a fluffy vanilla sponge.
Available for a limited time only, the new 3-Course Festive Set Dinner (S$42++) is available for dine-in, takeaway (self-collection) and delivery from 1 November to 31 December 2022, 6pm to 9pm, daily at The Marmalade Pantry Downtown outlet.
Consisting of a choice of starter, main, and a log cake of the day, the options for starters include the refreshing Watermelon Salad and the Seared Scallop with cauliflower puree paired with a crisp shaved fennel and celery salad, while the choices for mains include the Impossible Beef Lasagne or the Squid Ink Spaghetti served with seared prawns, cherry tomatoes, arugula, and a rich prawn bisque.
Delight in the Jovial Afternoon Tea & Moscato Set ($86++ for two persons, $78++ for two persons without Moscato) amidst all the Christmas shopping – tuck into savouries such as Mini Brioche Bun with Sous Vide Chicken and Apricot Jam, Herb Focaccia with Smoked Duck, and Mini Quiche with Smoked Salmon and sweets like the Chocolate Madeleines, Lemon-Blueberry Bar, and the festive-exclusive Gingerbread Petite Cupcake.
The afternoon tea is complete with signatures like the Cranberry Chicken Sandwiches, Truffle Egg Mayo Sandwiches, and Plain & Raisin Buttermilk Scones with strawberry preserve, orange marmalade and clotted cream.
Each set is served with two pots of tea from homegrown brand Monogram Tea, and it can be enhanced with bubbly options for dine-in only.
Available at The Marmalade Pantry Downtown outlet (1 November to 31 December 2022, 3pm to 6pm daily) and The Marmalade Pantry ION outlet (from 1 to 29 December 2022, 2pm to 6pm from Monday to Thursday, excluding public holidays).
