10 New F&B In Singapore This June 2019 — Including The Alley Luxe And A Durian Cafe

June

While most would still be focused on all the new things to do and see in Jewel Changi Airport, this June, we are shifting our gaze away to look at all the new openings that are worthy of a stopover in the rest of the country.

We found creative dishes such as a fish fillet prepared with Twisties, as well as a durian-centric cafe, a garden-themed hideaway, and a new bubble tea concept place. Here are 10 new openings we think are worthy of your calories.

Camaca Caspules

CAMACA

Camaca is a sugar-free dessert cafe, serving up indulgent treats that come without the guilt, along with a wide selection of single-origin coffees. The deceiving giant macarons on display are just packaging for the gelato inside, keeping the gelato from turning too icy so it maintains a smooth texture. They even have a special machine to “de-shell” their gelato and to churn it out in a swirl after.

THE AFFOGATO LOUNGE

The Affogato Lounge along Keong Saik Road is conceptualised after The Affogato Bar at Cluny Court and features alcohol-infused affogatos, along with light bites and ice-creams. Their alcoholic Tiramisu is served with a double shot of Ozone Coffee Roasters’ Paramount and house-blend rum. The sponge soaks up the alcohol-infused coffee giving the dessert a strongly caffeinated and boozy kick.

THE ALLEY LUXE

The Alley Singapore unveiled their first-of-its-kind premium lifestyle cafe concept store in Cineleisure Orchard. Most iconic at The Alley Luxe is their Brown Sugar Deerioca Series but equally Instagrammable are their Aurora Series and Garden Milk Tea. On that note, we also recommend their Snow Velvet Peach Oolong Tea for a fragrant thirst quencher. Along with their beverages are European bakes such as gourmet croissants, cruffins, and kouign-amann.

Wishes Cafe Collage

WISHES CAFE

A hidden gem situated in the residential area of MacPherson is Wishes Cafe, selling creamy gelatos and fluffy waffles. They offer several unique gelato flavours including Avocado, Thai Milk Tea, Mint Tea, Peary Ginger, and Kumquat Sorbet. We dare say that the matcha gelato here could compete with the other big names in Singapore. Pair them with buttermilk waffles which we found to be deliciously dense yet pillowy.
