AMO collage

Amò is a union of Italian cuisine and people, designed as a social destination where they combine Italian traditions with contemporary innovation.

Their dishes are nothing short of highly indulgent yet satisfying, from dishes such as the Butter Roasted Chicken with Rosemary Jus and Roman Potatoes (S$28) and Grilled Angus Beef Tagliata with Rucola and Parmigiano Salad (S$48), to Grilled Octopus with Friggitelli Peppers and Calabrian Chilli Vinaigrette (S$35).

Osteria Art Collage

Previously known as Osteria Art, Art specialises in Italian cuisine and wines. This Italian restaurant’s dishes are inspired by centuries old Italian classics that come with a sophisticated touch.

We love the Charcoal Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Asparagus and Truffle (S$48++), Bronze Dye Spaghetti with Octopus and Smoked Paprika (S$35++) and the Wild Spinach Tortelli with Tomato and Taleggio Fondue (S$26++).

Brewerkz Collage

Besides beer, Brewerkz—Singapore’s first and longest-running microbrewery restaurant—also has a menu of classic American-styled nosh that comes in massive portions.

Try the handcrafted gourmet burgers, and we recommend you to go for the mighty King Brew Burger (S$34) that will put any of your burger cravings to rest. For those of you who love pork, you will be thrilled to know that their 3 Big Pigs (S$90) features pork done in 3 exciting ways.

Hans Im Gluck

Toss away your stereotypical notions of German food, because HANS IM GLÜCK takes the standard American burger and gives it a finely-crafted German twist. Choose between sourdough or multigrain buns, or even have it “naked” where your buns are replaced with a mix of vegetables and salad sauce. Before you scoff at it, trust us, the vegetarian Seelenheil (S$16) burger that features a Spinach and Cheese Patty is absolutely delicious.

Their Elsässer (S$17) takes the regular beef burger levels up with their brie and lingonberry combination. With mains served alongside a variety of snacks such as sweet potato fries or onion rings, and cocktails like a Mango Shorle or a Summer Wind in their value-for-money sets, you’d definitely want to bring more friends along to try all they have to offer.

Lending flavours from all over the world, Lokkee does up some fascinating modern, fusion Chinese food with touches from the west. Don’t be fooled by their oriental decor; their kinky condom tissue packages and hilarious fortune cookies are a giveaway to their more creative, playful side.

One of their must-try items definitely has to be The Mermaid (S$32)—a rich grilled Kuhlbarra Barramundi collagen dish. Another stellar dish that we love is Wagyu Truffle Hor Fun; it is one luxurious noodle dish that is worth the calories. The smoky “Bakkwa” Bacon Salad (S$32) is a show-stepping dish that redefines salad and is one heck of a sinful but satisfying dish.

Take your senses on a trip from the perfectly marinated earthy Lamb Loin with Shiitake and Thyme (S$18) to the sharp tang of their Burrata with Peas and Preserved Lemon (S$21).

They also offer sinfully luscious desserts that are sure to make you want to push your cheat day forward. Their Paris Brest with Chocolate Praline and Pear and Thyme is nothing short of indulgent, though they also offer lighter options such as their Goats Cheese Parfait with Honeycomb Raspberry Sorrel.

Mitzo Brunch

Mitzo turns conventional on its head by combining a contemporary take on Cantonese cuisine with an artisanal cocktail program. Just a stone’s throw away from Orchard MRT Station, Mitzo has the right offerings regardless of a lunch venue or a dinner get-together with friends and family.

Plough through the list of exquisite a la carte signatures and find yourself in for a feast — Black Truffle Crispy Roast Duck (S$38), Venison with Asparagus in Black Pepper Mint Sauce (S$34) and the restaurant’s fine selections of specialties such as piquant White Pepper Lobster (S$30), Royal Shrimp Dumpling with Black Caviar (S$12), Crispy Roasted Pork Belly (S$18).

Pince & Pints

Mirroring a similar concept to Burger & Lobster in London, Pince & Pints is dedicated to serving lobster dishes under one roof. The two signatures are Live Whole Lobster (S$58++) and The Lobster Roll (S$58++).

For those who are looking for more local-inspired flavours, there are also options such as Chilli Lobster (S$58++) and Lobster Noodle (S$58++). The former is like our local Chilli Crab but instead of crabs, lobsters are used; the latter consists of wok-fried egg noodles with ginger, scallion and house-made chilli oil.

For hearty, wholesome meals, Plentyfull is your best bet. The dual concept space houses a patisserie and gourmet grocer that provides food made from the heart; everything at the restaurant is prepared from scratch and they are committed to using only fresh produce that is sourced both locally and internationally.

If you are not there for brunch (until 5pm), indulge in a splendid selection of mains including Angus Steak with Herb Butter (S$28++) and Lemongrass & Assam Grilled Chicken (S$26++) that will have you coming back for more.

Shin Yeh Collage (1)

Shin Yeh derives its inspiration of Taiwanese cuisine from the early Taiwan era—a once-forgotten art that would have ceased to exist, if not for the great deal of painstaking effort required to re-create them. The result? A host of Taiwanese home-cooked dishes brimming with the country’s gastronomic heritage that are subtly nuanced yet modern in aesthetic appeal.

The restaurant represents a wholesome dining experience that spans more than thirty years, and constantly prides itself on its dedication to using only the freshest ingredients and finest culinary skills. A few signatures that you simply cannot do without including the Sautéed Prawns with Pineapple (S$26++), Pan-Fried Pomfret with Garlic (S$48++), Braised Chicken with Garlic and Basil Leaves Served In Claypot (S$18++) and Steamed Crab with Glutinous Rice Cake (S$35++).
