I have a problem when it comes to ice cream. You see, I tend to stick to places that I’m comfortable with: like Island creamery, U.d.d.e.r.s, and Haato. So I decided that I need to try out more ice cream parlours this year, especially so when there’s so many new ice cream places in Singapore.
Vanilla bean, chocolate, cookie & cream, durian, strawberry, hazelnut, lemon sorbet, rum & raisin, orange chocolate, tiramisu, baileys, chunky monkey, cherry, salted caramel, earl grey, pistachio, matcha, sesame, and nutella. Whichever flavor it is, I hope that you are eating it.
I’m deeply in love with ice cream, for a split moment of insanity, I thought that she might actually like me back. Ice cream is always irresistible; it’s like dew drops to a thirsty man in the desert, like air after being underwater for a long time, like sex to the forty year old virgin, like that Gucci bag to the fashionista – it is love.
I hope this list of ice cream parlours in Singapore will help on your hunt for the perfect scoop. Because ice cream will never let you down.

. . . In ice cream we trust
lihong: ooh! is it so bad? somehow it don’t really appeal to me, maybe because it’s a franchise, i prefer those local home made ice cream : )
michelle: I heard good things about taste matters, will check it out soon! what else did you had there?
I had really divine lavender ice-cream too!
I have a fondness for lavender cookies so lavender ice-cream is just ace for me. thinking of it now just makes me want to go back there again. : D
michelle: you know, i can’t help thinking about air freshener whenever there’s lavender mentioned! haha sure thing, will drop by and check it out! : )
Lot’s of options, however, no quality. You missed the one place that offers excellent ice cream !
Hi There ! We are a new Ice Cream place that has just opened called “Simply Shiok” at 9 One North Gateway, #01-39 One North Residences. Appreciate if you could add us to your list of ice cream places, and feel free to check out our freshly made Ice Cream!
Any other outlets for simply shiok besides the one at 9 One North Gateway, #01-39 One North Residences?
What is the opening hours of gelato art?
Foodaholic: Ah i not very sure abt the opening hours of Gelato art, why don’t you give them a call? : )
Just visited Singapore on holidays from australia , went to a place called ice edge cafe on kovan rd and it was exquisite, not to be missed for all ice cream lovers , better than the ice cream you can get in sydney anyday !
khan’s: Ice edge cafe on kovan road? I never heard of it before, thanks for the tip off, will check it out when i am in the kovan area : )
I stay in Serangoon so I was really excited when I came across Ice Edge Cafe on Kovan Road during one of my evening strolls. The ice cream you get there is definitely of high quality and the waffles are heavenly. There are many local flavours that you can choose from and the staff are more than happy to point out to you the more popular flavours. I go there every week and I suggest you check it out for some smooth delectable ice cream.
What are the popular flavours of ice-cream at ice edge cafe?
chionh: whoa, is it really so good? but kovan is kind of faar! hahaha
foodaholic: yeah we need chionh to tell us which flavors are good, i haven been there before too
The gelato at ice edge cafe were delicious! I like the snickers and cookies and cream gelato! HAHA! (:
Hey there is one new ice-cream shop at no.7 haji lane called “The Ice Cream Man Pte Ltd”. The ice-cream is awesome and unique! Hope u add on yr list! (:
Hmm.. after such a writeup abt ice cream as a tantalizing delight, I was kinda hoping you’d really point me in the direction of some tried and tested good stuff, rather than just throwing an ice cream outlet directory at me.
I’ve just finished 1/4 tub of Udders Strawberry ice cream while working late. Who needs coffee when you have ice cream to fuel you.
We are glad that you like our ice cream. Do hope to see you here for your free ice cream on our friendship day, which is your birthday.
i love ice edge at kovan too… yummy.. drools
@ Melvin: LOL guess who m i … hehe xD
Heys, there’s an ice-cream kiosk at Tiong Bahru Plaza called Scoopy’s & Cream that sells soft serve and scoops! Also caters to birthday parties n special events! Do check out their website at http://www.scoopysandcream.com/. Hope u can add to yr ice-cream list too! xD
Hi, FYI, Futta La Viva is closed! D:
Coccogelo at East Coast served the best gelato in Singapore. The flavours is so intense and the environment is quirky and service is good. The pistachio is the best so far I have tasted with real flavours. Peanut butter and salted caramel is amazing too! Check out their cool website: http://www.coccogelo.com and they are on facebook too – http://www.facebook.com/coccogelo
There’s an ice-cream buffet at Scoopy’s and Cream? :X
Oh ya there’s another ice-cream shop called Varietiez Ice Cream Cafe… Their facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/pages/Varietiez-ice-cream/130821413631849 and website is http://www.varietiez.com. I hope u can add 2 yr list of ice-cream places. Do try out their ice-cream, it’s really AWESOME! <3
Hi! There’s an ice cream shop you didnt mention! Soyato which is located at bugis junction basement 1. They have a facebook and twitter site.
I have not eaten ice cream in more than a year because I am afraid of the sugar and fat content. Sugar not only feeds cancer cells, but also causes wrinkles, not to say leads to obesity.
I am too lazy to exercise hence I rather choose to restrict my diet.
However after reading your website I feel a rekindling of my long-lost urge to eat ice cream….
But I am afraid of getting fat….how??!!
Can you tell me what you do to mitigate the sugar and fat from the ice cream you are regularly consuming? Do you exercise like 1 hour everyday??
I am 39 years old, 167cm and weigh 47kg.
Because of my rigid, restrictive, no-sugar diet (even though I am not diabetic), I look at most 30 instead of my real age, because of my slim figure and fair, smooth, wrinkle-free skin.
But please don’t envy me….my life is completely, absolutely meaningless without ice cream, cakes, cookies and all things sweet! Sometimes I feel so frustrated that I am depriving myself of all these wonderful desserts that ‘normal’ people eat everyday.
Maybe I should try being kinder to myself and eating 1 scoop of ice-cream just once a week. Maybe I won’t get fat or start having wrinkles if it’s just 1 scoop once a week?
I’d be very grateful if you could share with me your strategies to ‘compensate’ for your happy ice-cream laden diet (in terms of weight control)!
Continue eating ice cream happily – you don’t know how lucky you are to be able to do so without any mental constraints!
Hello Lisa, the only advice I can give is exercise. Believe me, I am not one of those who can eat everything without gaining weight. So I have been exercising regularly, and besides the obvious benefit that I get to lose weight, running also helps to de-stress and I always feel better after it.
Life is short, and I think it is meaningless if you cannot get to eat whatever you feel like eating. Having said that, it is definitely not a good idea to suddenly over-indulge. I think you should not be so hard on yourself. Why don’t you reward yourself occasionally after a long day of work, and have a cookie or ice cream?
Otherwise, you can always have frozen yogurt as a replacement for ice cream. I have been eating froyo more than ice cream recently.
I really hope that you will be nicer to yourself, and eat the food that you like : )
There is a new ice cream parlour along thomson road called Salted Caramel! Its near the Thomson Prata House
your diagram and list of ice-cream places makes me
I think there are good ice cream places in Singapore, but no good sorbet places. Everywhere I’ve tried has failed me so far..
@ Melvin: I m a fan of peanut butter ice-cream! I tink u can guess it alr!
Ladyironchef, add Varietiez ice cream cafe 2 yr list!
Is there a new ice cream shop near clementi mall? Hmm…
Foodaholic > There’s a new gelato place at Chijmes… I saw them having some opening special in June. Giving away free scoops of gelato.
Can get your free gelato by getting a voucher here: http://www.facebook.com/Lippolis.Cafe?sk=app_216523788360719
Ice Palour at PLUCK at 31 Haji Lane. Website under its name.
The Ice Cream Man just opened there too
The best durian gelato in Singapore is from Alfero Artisan Gelato located at Marina Square #02 level. You can come down and talk to Mr Alfero from Italy himself there. Yummy durian taste!
you missed out Medley Amaii at Robertson Quay (:
Jelato di Posto Storico – junction of Baghdad Street & Bussorah Street.
Located on the 2nd floor above the eatery.
Serves hand-made Italian Gelato, which tastes as real Italian.
I was wondering, where do I find the best original Japanese Matcha Soft Ice in Singapore??
Hi Francine, i stongly reccomend you the new shop Alfero Artisan Gelato in Marina Square # 02-226A/B. Macha green tea gelato there is the best of Singapore, believe me..
89 East Coast Road, Singapore 428790
+65 6345 3646
Hi, ive just begun making my own ice-cream using an ice-cream machine; it’s a great way to control sugar levels and adjust the taste to ur pref.
I was wondering if anyone knew where i could buy new pint containers (like an empty haagen daz pint container) that I could put my ice-cream in and give away as gifts?? thaanks
Cold Stone Creamery is amazing too! xx
Try Creamier at Toa Payoh Lorong 1! Definitely worth! Their waffles and ice cream are amazing.
Dear All, I think you have missed also:
1. GELATERIA ITALIA (plaza singapura, Jcube, takashimaya, bugis+)
2. Alfero Gelato (marina square)
and, of course, you have missed my 3 day gealto ice cream course which I have been doing in Singpaore for the past 5 yrs, a lot of the shops you guys mention have studied with me and if you need any accessories, equipment or suggestion to make, produce and sell gelato or ice cream please, send me an email or give me a call 98252676….keep up the good blog!!!
Try Creamier’s ice cream. Its in toa payoh.
Coldstone ice cream! There’s an outlet at orchard central and a couple more elsewhere.
anyone can recommend place to eat ice cream after 12am? till what time also?
FYI, Coccogelo has sadly closed down till further notice.
hello! thanks for the list. please add in Creamier, a lovely artisan ice cream place hidden in the sleepy estate of toa payoh. Very yummy ice cream at very reasonable prices (and delicious waffles!)
