A plate of their S$6 chicken will be enough to share with a friend. You can order some rice and soup to go along with it! If you haven’t tried this hidden gem, time to put it on your to-eat lists!

The restaurant is hard to miss, especially so given its elaborate entrance that features a mock roof—similar to those commonly seen in period Korean dramas—and the many photos of Kpop idols that adorn front counter.

SEOUL JJIMDAK

For those of you who do not know what Jjimdak is, it is essentially a stewed meat dish consisting of chicken, seasonal vegetables and soy sauce. The dish itself is hearty, rich with an intensified sweet and savoury taste.

The recipe for this mouthwatering concoction comes from a resident South-Korean ajumma, so you can be sure of its authenticity. However, the dish has been tweaked to better suit local palettes by reducing the spiciness of it.

The Seoul Jjimdak here (S$39.90) is simply daebak! The dish consists of boneless chicken, potatoes, carrots and potato glass noodles that are soaked in a savoury sauce that is made using secret ingredients that are specially imported from South-Korea. All these components come together to create a medley of flavours that are simply addictive.

ARMY STEW

Another one of the restaurant’s signature dishes is their Army Stew (S$39.90). This hearty pot of goodness is definitely a great dish for sharing around with family and friends, especially on a cold, rainy day.

The Army Stew here is made using a homemade kimchi broth, that is considerably more tangy and punchier than regular store-bought kimchis. The pot is filled to the brim with scrumptious goodies such as pork belly, luncheon meat, tteokbokki tteok , mushroom, vegetables, tofu and ramyeon. These varying flavours and textures definitely elevate the dish, resulting in a very satisfying one-pot-wonder.

There are also ongoing bundle deals available for both lunch and dinner for their Army Stew or Jjimdak which lets you get other dishes such as their Cheese Tteokbokki, Pork Belly Soup and Seafood Pancake at a more affordable price! This promotion is great if you’re looking to have dinner in a big group and you plan to order a variety of dishes for sharing around.

DAK-GALBI

Another popular, must-try dish is their Dak-Galbi (S$39.90), which essentially is a spicy stir-fried chicken dish that is made with a gochujang-based sauce, boneless chicken chunks, tteokbokki tteok, cabbage and scallions.

The Dak-Galbi here is served in separate components so that you can have fun mixing them all together by yourself. When combined, the tangy gochujang-based sauce coats all the ingredients evenly and generously, creating a spicy, mouth-watering dish befitting of any Korean food lover.

They are also having a promotion where the dish will be going for S$29.90 instead of the usual S$39.90. So, if you love spicy Korean chicken, we suggest you head down right now to enjoy this great deal!

If you’re hankering for soup or something along the same lines of hot, fiery and comforting, then perhaps one of Seoul Jjimdak’s soup dishes—available as part of their current lunch promotion—should be able to sort your cravings out. One soup that comes highly recommended is their tangy, spicy Pork Belly Kimchi Soup (U.P. S$18.90) that is now going for just S$9.90!

Their Spicy Mandu Ramyeon Soup (U.P. S$12.90) is a must-try for anyone who loves dumplings and anything that packs on some serious heat. This hearty dish is definitely one that will warm you up, and it’s available at only S$8.90.

And of course, what better way to balance out all the spicy flavours than with a steaming hot bowl of warm, Korean-style, steamed eggs (S$5.90 – U.P. S$10.90)? Simple, tasty and a sure-fire way to put a smile on your face—provided that you don’t accidentally burn your tongue on it.

Seoul Jjimdak is our go-to Korean restaurant in Singapore for Budae Jjigae and authentic Chicken Jjjimdak. One visit is not enough, and so, we’ve made multiple visits to this humble eatery at City Square Mall because hearty Korean stew always wins our hearts.

And now, Seoul Jjimdak is having a daily lunch special that gives you even more reason to head down—S$29.90 for a huge pot of Budae Jjigae or Jjimdak, and this special price is also applicable on weekends. How does that sound?

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

Located in City Square Mall, Seoul Jjimdak is a Korean restaurant that specialises in authentic Jjimdak, and it is one of the very few destinations in Singapore where you get to savour this hearty Korean stew. The Seoul Jjimdak comes in both with bone and boneless options.

The words ‘jjim’ refers to ‘braise’ and ‘dak’ refers to chicken, and a Korean jjimdak is really a tasty chicken stew braised in soya sauce and is usually slightly sweet. Trust us; this is real comfort food on a rainy day. And it is something you will grow to love more with every time you eat it.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

The next bestselling dish is none other than the tasty Budae Jjigae, and it is easily the best we’ve had in Singapore. This homemade kimchi stew is served with baked beans, luncheon meat, pork belly strips, tofu and mixed vegetables.

These two star dishes of Seoul Jjimdak are only S$29.90 each if you go during lunch. That is a real steal; you would know by now that Korean stews in Singapore are mostly priced above S$35 and the ingredients are always at the bare minimum.

For S$29.90, you get a big pot at Seoul Jjimdak which is good for up to 3 persons. And if that is not enough, you can choose to add on ingredients such as Ramyeon (S$2.90++), Assorted Mushrooms (S$4.90++), Prawns & Mussels (S$5.90++) and Tteokbokki (S$2.90++).

This lunch deal is available every day from 11:30am to 3pm, including weekends and Public Holidays.

Korean restaurant Seoul Jjimdak in City Square Mall has been in the spotlight lately for introducing authentic Jjimdak and Korean Army Stew that is very tasty and wallet-friendly.

Today we have some fantastic news to share!

If you missed their previous lunch deal, the folks at Seoul Jjimdak have introduced a new special deal for both the Jjimdak and Korean Army Stew – which will be going at only S$23.90++ each. This is a whopping 30% off its usual price of S$36.90++, and they are available daily from 11.30am to 3pm, including weekends and public holidays!

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

Jjimdak is chicken stew braised in soya sauce that is usually slightly sweet; the Budae Jjigae (or otherwise known as Korean Army Stew) is that hearty big pot of kimchi stew that everyone loves.

These two signature stews at Seoul Jjimdak can easily feed two or three people, ensuring you get your money’s worth when you dine there.

The huge portion of Jjimdak consists of chicken, potatoes, carrots, onions and potato noodles braised in soya sauce. We were singing praises of the tender chicken chunks that have been braised to absorb all the flavours of the sauce which is a mix of salty and sweet.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

Go all out with the toppings that you can add into your Seoul Jjimdak with options such as the Assorted Mushrooms (S$4.90++), Double Cheese (S$3.90++), Mozzarella Cheese (S$2.90++), Prawns & Mussels (S$5.90++) and Tteokbokki (S$2.90++).

As for the Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Stew), it is served with baked beans, luncheon meat, pork belly strips, tofu and mixed vegetables. You can also order add-ons for this homemade kimchi stew. Carbs such as Ramyeon (S$2.90++) and Steamed White Rice (S$1.50++) go best when having kimchi stew. This is the next best selling dish after the Jjimdak!

Now you know where you will find us during lunch hour when our Korean cuisine cravings kick in – right at Seoul Jjimdak, of course!

With so many Korean food places popping up all over Singapore, we can safely say that the Korean wave is not losing its popularity in this city anytime soon. Apart from the usual K-bbq and bibimbap, a rather underrated Korean dish called jjimdak deserves to be glorified too. The words ‘jjim’ refers to ‘braise’ and ‘dak’ refers to chicken, and a Korean jjimdak is really a tasty chicken stew braised in soya sauce and is usually slightly sweet.

Located in City Square Mall, Seoul Jjimdak is a Korean restaurant that specialises in authentic Jjimdak, and it is one of the very few destinations in Singapore where you get to savour this hearty Korean stew. The best part? Prices are wallet-friendly, portions are generous and needless to say – the food is legit and authentic!

From now till 31 August 2016, Seoul Jjimdak is extending an exclusive 51%* off Jjimdak and Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Stew) during lunch every day. All you have to do is flash this article or quote ‘ladyironchef’ to Seoul Jjimdak’s staff.

After the promotion, you can get the Jjimdak and/ or Budae Jjigae at only S$16.60++ (U.P. S$33.90++). Now, surely you know this is a deal not to be missed.

Set foot into Seoul Jjimdak and you will be instantly greeted by pop art murals of famous Korean celebrities and catchy K-pop tunes. It is one of those Korean restaurants with very comfortable seating; finally an outlet where we can enjoy our Korean meal in comfort.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>//

Seoul Jjimdak’s value-for-money lunch sets are some of the best deals in town. The sets range from S$9.90++ for a Kimchi Tofu Soup with Rice to S$12.90++ for Mini Boneless Jjimdak with Rice. Each set meal comes with a complimentary soft drink, and is valid from 11.30am to 5pm daily.

Of course, what’s a Korean feast without some Korean booze? Pick your poison from Chamisul Soju (S$15.90++), Grapefruit Soju (S$15.90++), Yakult Soju (S$20.90++) or Yuja Soju (S$20.90++).

From now till 31 August 2016 (between 11.30am – 3pm), Seoul Jjimdak is offering a massive 51% discount off Seoul Jjimdak and Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Stew) to celebrate Singapore’s 51st birthday. Say whaaat?! This is the best deal ever!

Simply flash this post to the Seoul Jjimdak’s staff or quote ‘ladyironchef’.
