[Closed] Fukuichi Japanese Dining Singapore

Fukuichi Japanese Dining

Nestled in the quiet Triple One Somerset, Fukuichi Japanese Dining serves decent Japanese food at pocket-friendly prices. You can get set lunches such as Tempura Teishoku and Sashimi Teishoku from $20, while bento and dinner sets are between $25-40. I find it very reasonable for the quality and portion.

If I am meeting my friends in Orchard Road, I will definitely go to Fukuichi, it is my newest go-to place when craving for Japanese food.

What is there not to love about high tea? As a fancy afternoon affair that is synonymous with decadent treats and heart-to-heart talks, it is beneficial for one’s weary soul.

Unknown to many, TWG Tea Salon is a homegrown brand that has won over the taste buds of many tea and dessert lovers. Its growing reputation as a tea institution that offers a variety of exclusive and interesting tea blends and tea-infused delicacies has cemented its popularity in the local food scene. At first glance, you might be put off by the exquisite interior of the restaurant but TWG does offer affordable brunch sets. In addition, the friendly demeanour of its service staff and beautiful counter display of cakes and sweet pastries make it hard to resist the idea of dining with them.

Jiang-Nan Chun Four Seasons Singapore

JiangNan Chun

Jiang-Nan Chun at Four Seasons is known for serving classic Cantonese cuisine in a luxurious setting, and while I’d been meaning to venture there for a meal, it took me until recently to do so.

The new Chinese executive Chef Alan Chan used to be from Crystal Jade Dining IN, and since joining Jiang-Nan Chun, he has introduced a new menu. It is evident that he is adamant to make his mark on the restaurant. The food that we had were well-executed using traditional cooking techniques, with a slightly modern twist.

Brunch at Kith Cafe

It is not my practice to write about new restaurants/cafes immediately after their opening; I have a policy of a three months buffer. But Kith Cafe has been around for a long time, so I thought it would be of no harm to share about their new outlet at Park Mall.

Kith Cafe Park Mall

I like the new Kith Cafe. Since its opening last month, I’ve been there a few times, and it has quickly become my favourite hangout place in Orchard Road.

One-Ninety Four Seasons Hotel

One Ninety Brunch

Words by Serene Chai, photos by ladyironchef.

It is no secret that Singaporeans love to eat. However, the delicious irony is that we complain whenever we are short-changed by food that is lacking in quality or quantity. Hence, many of us are making more informed choices when it comes to forking out that extra bit of dough to enjoy a sumptuous spread.

The best thing you can do for yourself on a slow and lazy Sunday afternoon, is to have a lovely brunch buffet at One-Ninety, Four Seasons Singapore.

Tonkatsu by Ma Maison

Tonkatsu Mamaison

Tonkatsu by Ma Maison at Mandarin Gallery has the BEST tonkatsu in Singapore,” my pal Fred would tell me every time when we meet up for our glutton outings with Beatrice and Velda. After hearing this, how do you expect me to pretend that nothing had happened?

The few of us finally arranged a date to go there for dinner. And after trying it, I have to agree with Fred. Tonkatsu by Ma Maison has one of the best, if not the best tonkatsu in Singapore.

Brunetti Italian Pasticceria Tanglin Mall

Brunetti

Brunetti is a famous Italian pasticceria and coffee joint from Australia. Having heard good things about it from my friends who studied in Melbourne, I was quite excited when it finally opened in Singapore at Tanglin Mall.

After my first visit a few months ago, I went back to Brunetti several times and tried quite a few items. Some of the cakes were good, while others were average.
