I have updated the list of restaurants that I’m interested in, you can view it here, or simply click on “Gourmet Roll” tab at the top of the page!

  • Bar Bar Blacksheep
  • Choupinette
  • Marmalade Pantry
  • Pietrasanta
  • Tampopo
  • Tin Hill Bistro

” Food, my dear, is what they called an adventure “

LIC links

After much feedbacks from friends and readers, i’ve decided on moved all the links to a separate page, entitled “Links

Previously the very long list of blog links to the other foodies, and friends made the whole outlook very messy, i guess by shifting all of the blogroll to a separate page, LIC homepage will have a neater look.

Not the most creative of names, but it do offer the simplicity and allows readers to spot this at once, you can now click on Links which is located at the top of the page, just beside Gourmet Roll

Cheers
Brad

See you there!

ladyironchef (LIC) has decided to come up with “See you there!” category. This will be for restaurants or places that LIC been to and will go back again, hence the “see you there”

As most of you will know by now, LIC will not usually repeat a visit to the same restaurant, because the money will otherwise be better well spend trying another new place.

And also LIC does not have any ratings on the food because taste is a very subjective thing, and different people like different food, what LIC prefers, you might not like it.

Therefore the “See you there!” category is for places that LIC will truly revisit again, and this may not just because the food is good. It can be due to reasons like the ambiance of the place, the service of the staff, or the overall package of it.

So do watch out for this new category, lets have a disclaimer first, LIC does not guarantee that the place is excellent, but when it warrents the tag, thats the place LIC will revisit, and SEE YOU THERE!

Seng Kee Black Herbal Chicken Soup

Seng Kee Black Herbal Chicken Soup is located just opposite Kembangan MRT station. I happened to chance upon this zi-char restaurant because my friends had cravings for their mee-sua.

So another venture into the east side of Singapore for LIC, as i stay in the west and the east is so far away. But there are simple too much good food in the area, so you will be seeing more food from the east in the future!

Balmoral Bakery

Balmoral Bakery is a very old-school bakery which is evident from the box they use for their bakes. Located at Sunset way, the bakery offers the type of breads and pastries which we grow up together with, but sadly are slowly disappearing from our sight.

Under the “undue” influence of my secret food partner, we jogged from our place to Sunset way, and pay the bakery a visit. She introduced me to Balmoral Bakery as she has been munching on their breads since young.
