“How do you stay slim when you are always eating so much?” I get this question all the time, and to be completely honest, there’s no secret to staying slim – I exercise regularly.
But as I’ve been travelling frequently this year, I find it difficult to maintain an exercise routine. I used to jog at least four to five times a week, but nowadays, I only do it once or twice when I have time. Many friends are envious of me as they think that I can eat without gaining weight. But the truth is I gain weight easily (especially as I literally eat for a living), and I definitely don’t have skinny genes.
Fortunately, I met the folks from SlimSpa, and they introduced me to their diet and nutritional supplements to solve my problem.
There are many slimming products in the market, but the sad thing is most of them come and go, and as consumers, we don’t really know which brands to trust. SlimSpa, on the other hand, has been around for over seven years in the market.
I’ve been using SlimSpa products over the last month and I am happy to say that everything is going well so far. If you are looking for a safe way to lose weight, you can read more about my journey with SlimSpa’s weight management solution.

I think Audrey Hepburn said it best in Sabrina – “Paris is always a good idea.” Ah, the city of lights, of love and all things lyrical – what’s not to like? Beautiful cities are aplenty, but Paris has a certain je ne sais quoi that draws you in, keeps you enthralled and makes you yearn for more. Little wonder that it constantly tops the list of “Most Visited Cities in the World”. Instead of sharing the well-grooved tourist tracks we visited (which a gazillion other people have already done), we thought it would be better to give you a tongue-in-cheek take on how to enjoy Paris.
Here are 5 life lessons learned from travelling in Paris.

“Tonkatsu by Ma Maison at Mandarin Gallery has the BEST tonkatsu in Singapore,” my pal Fred would tell me every time when we meet up for our glutton outings with Beatrice and Velda. After hearing this, how do you expect me to pretend that nothing had happened?
The few of us finally arranged a date to go there for dinner. And after trying it, I have to agree with Fred. Tonkatsu by Ma Maison has one of the best, if not the best tonkatsu in Singapore.

It’s really nice to see so many new cafes sprouting up around Singapore. I’ve been going on a cafe-hopping adventure, and one of the places that I went to is L’etoile Cafe at Owen Road.
The French-themed Japanese cafe is a real hidden gem, so if you are looking for a place to hangout with your friends this weekend, you can consider coming here.

Back in March, the good people at Kitchen Language and Fulford PR invited me to join them on a press trip to visit Dean & Deluca in New York. During that few days, I had an amazing time learning about the brand, and it was a privilege to get a behind-the-scene sneak peek.
Dean & Deluca is a multi-channel retailer of gourmet and speciality foods, premium wines and high-end kitchenware with operations throughout the United States and abroad.
Like what I’ve mentioned in my earlier interview with Justin Seamonds (the president of Dean & Deluca), its international presence is expanding rapidly. Today, you can find the gourmet grocer in many cities including Tokyo, Bangkok, Korea, Turkey, and of course, Singapore (opening on 22nd June).
If you have always heard about but never had the chance to visit Dean & Deluca in New York, let me take you on a store visit!

When McDonald’s Singapore launched their new Hello Kitty Plushie collection last week, everyone was talking about it online. My friends actually went to eat a burger just to get the toy. Such is the power of Hello Kitty.
I thought this is the perfect time to introduce you to Gadget Chef’s Hello Kitty iPhone bling cases (compatible for iPhone 4/4S), which come in pink bling and zebra stripes.

You can get the cute Hello Kitty iPhone covers from our Gadget Chef Shop at S$25 each. Have fun shopping you girls!

Dining out is getting more and more expensive. Since the opening of many celebrity chef restaurants, a meal at one of the top tables in Singapore can easily go up to $300-400 nowadays.
A few of my friends were just telling me that several reputable Japanese restaurants have been slowly upping the price of their omakase menu. I am sure everyone is feeling the sting of dining inflation. So today, I will like to share with you one of the best kept secrets in town.
Kumo Kaiseki Restaurant at Icon Village offers an extremely value-for-money Omakase. I’d recommend it if you are looking for a place to go for your first omakase experience.
