Whenever someone mentions about the best claypot rice in Singapore, the same few names will always appear: the famous Geylang Claypot rice at Lorong 33, Golden Mile Claypot rice, Old Mother Hen’s at Geylang, and of course New Lucky Claypot rice at Clementi.
I meant to blog about U.d.d.e.r.s Ice Cream during October as I was enjoying my ice cream every day (excuse: sorching hot weather), but obviously I didn’t. What I really wanted to tell you was this: no matter what you are doing, please remember to have your ice cream.
Udders ice cream is a local homegrown ice cream shop in Singapore that is famous for their ‘adult’ ice cream. If you like liqueur in your ice cream, you will like Udders ice cream.
When it comes to breakfast, I prefer Wanton Noodles over fish-ball noodles or bak chor mee since I don’t really like fish-balls or minced meat. But who can resist the tender char siew and crunchy wanton dumpling? Especially Eng Kee Noodle House’s Wanton Mee.
Alongside Holland Village, Chip Bee Garden, Greenwood Avenue & Rochester Park, Sunset Way is another food dining destination in the West of Singapore. Using the limited space under the flats, the Sunset Way Restaurants managed to create an unique al fresco dining area which is totally unexpected of a heartland place.

The Daily Scoop is one of the earlier homemade ice cream places in Singapore. They started off with a small cafe at Clementi Arcade off Sunset Way, and recently opened another new outlet at Chips Bee Garden. It has been almost three years since my last visit, and I thought that was a good enough reason for an ice cream party!

Rochester Park was promoted as the next Dempsey Hill dining destination when they first started. Restaurants like Cassis fine dining French restaurant, Pinchos Tapas Bar, Twenty + One Patisserie have come and go, while the other main stewards like One Rochester and Da Paolo are still going strong.
