5 Flower Pot Desserts in Singapore To Try

Flower Pot Desserts

There was a point in time when someone thought to put desserts inside flower pots, crush cookies or Oreo biscuits into bits to use as ‘soil’, and stick an artificial plant or flower on it because it looks pretty cool.

Colony At The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore: “Farm To Fork” Highlights + Free Bottle Of Wine

Colony Farm To Fork

One of our favourite places to head to for buffets in Singapore is Colony. Located on level three of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, Colony is a well-appointed yet cosy restaurant offering the best of Singapore’s heritage cuisines. A dinner at Colony never disappoints.

We returned this week for Colony’s monthly “Farm To Fork” special, where monthly-exclusive dishes that are sustainable sourced, are brought right to your dining table. This promotion happens from now till June 2016.

Colony

In the month of March 2016, the featured sustainably farmed produce is the finest Irish beef by John Stone. This means that you can have free-flow quality beef steaks on top of the regular buffet spread. This is completely a steal!

And that’s not all. Quote “ladyironchef” when you make your reservation to receive a complimentary bottle of house wine for a minimum booking of 4 persons for the “Farm to Fork” promotion at Colony from Sundays to Thursdays between 21 March to 28 April 2016.

bar and billard raffles hotel

Living in one of the world’s most expensive cities has its pros and cons. While those residing in Singapore are blessed with an impressive variety of watering holes, the drawback would be the exorbitant prices of alcohol.

These days, it is extremely common to pay at least S$20 for a glass of champagne in Singapore; going out for drinks is far from affordable.

So, imagine our surprise when we were told that Raffles Hotel’s Bar & Billiard Room is offering an awesome value-for-money promotion. You guys, two glasses of premium champagne, four freshly shucked oysters and a complimentary bucket of Indian flatbreads papadums – all at only S$30++ on every Friday from 6pm to 9pm.

Now, that is a rare indulgent treat without an extravagant price tag!
