Penang St. Buffet – Popular Crab Buffet Is Back Again With 12 New Flavours

Penang St Crab Buffet

Remember Penang St. Buffet’s awesome Crab Madness Buffet in 2015? This year, they have upped the ante in this new expansion and instalment – East Vs. West Crab Buffet. 2016′s spread will see a total of 12 crab flavours, including one special crab bisque, all made with flavours inspired by both the Western and Eastern culture.

After the success of last year’s buffet, Penang St. Buffet at Causeway Point has even more options this year to excite – think Green Curry Crab, Balinese Crab, Carbonara Crab and even Parmesan Baked Crab! Our stomachs are already growling.

This halal crab-centric buffet will begin on 01 March 2016 and end on 08 My 2016, the weekend of Mother’s Day. We had first hand dips on the buffet, and here is what you can expect at the East Vs. West Crab Buffet. If you are crab-obsessed too, the only thing you have to do for yourself is to head down to Penang St. Buffet for this crabby feast!

Lana Cake Shop’s Owner Is Retiring And Looking For A Successor

Lana Cake Shop

The owner of Lana Cake Shop, Mrs Violet Kwan, is retiring and she is looking for a successor to take over the legendary chocolate cake shop.

This iconic cake shop at Greenwood Avenue has been around since 1975, and there is a reason why it has remained immensely popular for so many decades. Moist and extremely chocolatey, you will never look at chocolate cakes the same way again once you have tried Lana Chocolate Cake.

And it is such a shame that we might never get to taste it again (unless the right successor is found).

Double Scoops – Charcoal Waffle, Salted Egg Yolk & Matcha KitKat Gelato + 50% OFF Desserts

Double Scoops Header

Living in the heartlands of Singapore does not mean artisanal gelato is inaccessible. Barely a year old, Double Scoops is an artisanal gelato cafe situated right in the heartlands of Ang Mo Kio, offering premium low-fat gelato at very reasonable prices, alongside a plethora of desserts.

Gelato is always a good idea, especially with Singapore’s humidity. Gelato is loved for being a healthier option as opposed to ice cream because of the lower fat content and use of better ingredients.

This humble gelato parlour has won us over with their no-frills concept that focuses on serving quality desserts. From now till 31 March 2016, readers of ladyironchef can flash this post or quote “ladyironchef” to enjoy 50% OFF the 2nd Waffle/ Shibuya Toast (of same value or lower) purchased from Mondays to Fridays.

The Populus Coffee & Food Co. – One Of The Best New Cafes In Singapore

The Populus Coffee Co

Opened by the folks behind Department of Caffeine and Two Degrees North Coffee Co., The Populus Coffee & Food Co. opened its doors to public late last year, and it has been our favourite cafe in Singapore since.

You see, The Populus Coffee & Food Co. is everything a good cafe should be – a neat decor with plants and natural sunlight, comprehensive food menu with wholesome meals and homemade desserts, and a brilliant cuppa.

With the rise of demands for cafes in Singapore, more and more are sprouting out across the island, but sadly, everyone is just cutting corners and compromising on the quality – whatever they are. Thank God The Populus Coffee & Food Co. is nothing like that at all, and they always strive to bring the best experience to cafe-goers.
