Their brownie flavours change from time to time, but we would recommend their signature Chocolate Brownie. A classic, it is lightly sprinkled with sea salt and topped with crunchy walnuts and pecans. Tolido’s Espresso Nook is a humble cafe at Crawford Lane which dishes out comfort cafe fare and all-day breakfast items at affordable prices (most dishes are priced under S$20). Think Scrambled Eggs with Norwegian Smoked Salmon, Rösti and Prawn Laksa Pasta.
They have recently launched a new Homemade Fudgy Brownies topped with sea salt which is going for S$7/slice! The brownie may look unassuming, but it is one of the better brownies that we’ve had in Singapore.

Get addicted to sweet indulgence at Muslim-owned dessert shop, Shubby Sweets. Upon stepping into their small bakery, you will be awed by their tantalising array of bite-sized brownies and choux. Perfect as gifts, the handcrafted brownies are sold in a box of five at S$7.50. Customers can also take their pick from the six different flavours available.
Our favourite out of the lot was their Speculoos Biscoff Blondie. It was generously scattered with crushed Biscoff biscuits and had an aromatic, nutty flavour. Leaning towards a cookie-like texture, the blondie was crumbly with just the right amount of sweetness.

Sticking to traditional recipes and serving pastries of familiar, nostalgic flavours, Plain Vanilla serves up good ol’ pastries that will surely remind you of your grandmother’s baking. Savour their Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownie, a thick slab of dark chocolate made from dark chocolate chunks and coated with a peanut butter frosting.
Their chewy brownie sent us to sweet paradise; the peanut butter frosting was soft and creamy, melding extremely well with the dense and fluffy brownie base. The brownie was reminiscent of a cake and had a harmonious blend of sweet nuttiness.
