From Singapore’s largest comic convention GameStart 2016, Singapore’s biggest glow-in-the-dark five-kilometre marathon to the long-awaited BNP Paribas WTA Finals, here is our monthly guide: Seven Events That Are Taking Place In Singapore This Coming October.
#1 BLACKLIGHT RUN
Held at Sentosa, Palawan Green, the three-mile glow-in-the-dark race will start at 7.15pm but participants can start checking in at 5.30pm.
The after-party starts at 8.30pm; dance to music spun by DJ Automatic from USA and throw glow powder at each other.
Sounds like fun? Littles ones below the age of five can join in the glowing fun run with every paying adult.

#2 DEEPAVALI
Deepavali aka Festival of Lights is celebrated by Hindus all over the world. Head over to Little India’s Deepavali Festival Market for traditional Indian delicacies and shop for colourful woven textiles.
Do also visit Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple to witness the festival rituals.

#3 GAMESTART
The venue for Singapore’s largest comic convention GameStart is at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre Halls 405 and 406.
Get your game on and compete in GameStart’s cosplay competition or compete with other gamers at the annual FIFA tournament.

#4 HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS
Celebrate Halloween with Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights. These spooky-themed nights will have the theme park transformed into a spooky town and a hair-raising experience is guaranteed as you explore the six on-site haunted houses.

#5 OCBC CYCLE
Singapore’s biggest Mass cycling event OCBC Cycle will kickstart at Singapore Sports Hub.
There are four key categories, namely the 42-km long The Sportive Ride, 23-km long Straits Time Ride, Mighty Savers® Kids Rides and the OCBC Cycle Speedway South-East Asian and Club Championships.

#6 OKTOBERFEST ASIA
Three-day festival Oktoberfest Asia 2016 is an unmissable boozy event that will take place at Tan Queue Lan Street in Bugis. Look forward to live performances by Hofbrauhaus Band and unlimited festive brews from S$70 per pax.

#7 WTA FINALS SINGAPORE
