Fancy celebrating Christmas in a beautiful garden? Oasis, the poolside restaurant at Grand Hyatt Singapore, is the place for you. For Christmas Eve Dinner, it has a selection of dishes, and some of the standout dishes include tender Roast Turkey with Chestnut Stuffing and Giblet Gravy, Salmon Coulibiac with Gribiche Sauce, Christmas Pudding with Brandy Sauce, and Vanilla Panna Cotta with Mixed Berry Compote.

For Christmas this year, Pete’s Place is offering a Christmas buffet of sheer indulgence in Tuscan and Italian specialities such as Roast Turkey with Stuffing and Giblet Sauce, Baked Whole Sea Bream Cartoccio, and Pan Roasted Lamb Chops with Barolo Sauce. And of course, you cannot miss out on the signature pizzas that are freshly prepared straight from the wood-fired oven. It could have been the nine different dining experiences – deli, yakitori grill, sushi-sashimi bar, the grill, steam basket, the patisserie and the martini bar. It could have been the convenient and accessible location at Grand Hyatt Singapore.
But one thing is for sure – mezza9, located at the mezzanine level of the hotel, is always packed with loyal customers who return time and again. The focus on the quality of food and service, coupled with the lively atmosphere in a trendy and contemporary interior, is a sure-win formula and precisely the reason why mezza9 is a gem.
mezza9 will be having a festive ala carte menu from 1 – 25 Dec 2013. Now, this is where the real show is, and we promise it is a meal that is well worth every penny, and will not disappoint.
Starters consist of a refreshing Baked Oysters “Florentine” – a tray of ocean goodness covered generously with cheese, spinach and Mornay sauce, and the Truffled Egg – which is bound to be a crowd’s favourite because the combination of black winter truffle, cream spinach and chicken veloutee is simply brilliant.
Brewing in the soup pots are the traditional Beef Goulash that is ever heart-warming, and a highly addictive Butternut Pumpkin Soup that Chef Martin had specially reinvented with his inclusion of orange, pernod and pumpkin seeds. We cannot decide which one we prefer, but we’d suggest downing one bowl each!
For the mains, expect an Australian Grass-fed Tenderloin “Chateaubriand”, Fondant Potatoes, Festive Vegetables and an incredible sauce that is matched to complement the myriad of flavours.
And what is a Christmas feast without desserts? How about a serving of the very pretty Berry Pavlova that comes with a scoop of fresh passion fruit ice cream? Chef Martin has also redefined Caramel Custard with a Spiced Red Wine Poached Pear and Williams Pear sherbet, and the custard is that of a beautiful, creamy texture that leaves you longing for more.
And last but certainly not the least, mezza9′s take on the classic Christmas Pudding – perfected and flamed with Irish Whiskey and Vanilla Ice Cream; talk about ending the night on a sweet note!
For Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day lunch, mezza9′s Christmas buffet has lined up a spread that will set your heart aflutter, and some of the star dishes include a 18-hour Braised Venison Ragout that is laid atop a bed of Spaetzli, Red Cabbage, Mirza Apple; Roast Turkey with Cranberries and Gravy; Beef Sirloin ‘Wellington’ with Truffle Sauce; Marzipan Stollen; and Christmas Plum Pudding with Brandy Sauce.
