Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro Has a New Lobster Roll on The Menu

Quayside Fish Bar Lobster Roll

With daily fresh imports of wild-caught seafood and fish from different parts of the world, Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro is our go-to place for seafood and late night nibbles. The restaurant has recently introduced Lobster Roll (S$49) on the menu. Its rendition comes with a whole live Boston lobster (600g of meat) in a buttered roll, homemade chili and kaffir lime aioli, and super addictive truffle shoestring fries.

Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro takes its seafood seriously, and boy are we glad that there is a new option when we are craving for lobster rolls in Singapore. From what we’ve heard, they are currently working on other variations like Seafood Roll and Shrimp Roll; we definitely hope to try them soon!

Late Night Dining at Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro

Quayside Fish Bar Late Night

While Melody and I don’t have the habit of eating late at night, there are times when we want a nice spot to have supper with friends and hangout till midnight. Most kitchens only operate till 10pm, and more often than not, they only serve a limited menu of finger food and drinks after that. Which is why we are happy to let you in on a little secret.

Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro, one of our go-to places for fresh and good quality seafood, opens till when the owls come out to play, and they have a late night nibbles menu which not only features your usual snacks, but also a pretty comprehensive selection of appetisers and mains.

Regulars at Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro will be thrilled to know that the signature Chilli Crab Linguine (S$28) is available on the late night menu. Other supper options include Tiger Beer Battered Halibut (S$26), Tuna Tataki (S$19), and Homemade Pumpkin Gnocchi (S$25). And if you want to do a little guilt-free indulging, there is always the Baby Romaine Lettuce (S$16).

Quayside Fish bar desserts

Feeling peckish and just want a light bite? Go for the White Truffle Scented Shoestrings Fries (S$9) and a Bloody Mary Shooter (S$4) – you are ready to rock and roll all night! Besides, any time is a good time for Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro’s Truffle Fries!

Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro is a great destination for desserts, too. The Homemade Tiramisu (S$14) remains one of the best that we have had in town. And here’s the deal – we tried the White Truffle Flavoured Lava Chocolate Cake (S$12) recently, and we fell head over heels in love with it. We can’t say what exactly, but it is one rendition you must not miss out on. Alternatively, the Black Sesame Cheese Pound Cake (S$14), with chocolate soil, dehydrated lychee, and a scoop of chocolate gelato, is a fine way to end your night.

Very often, we are strapped of choices when it comes to dining at tourists’ attractions. The restaurants are either too expensive, or the food just isn’t good altogether. Sometimes, they are not family-friendly, and kids have nothing suitable to eat. W Singapore Valentine’s Day Promotion at SKIRT

Skirt W Singapore

Anytime is a good time for steaks, but SKIRT at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove is one chi-chi steakhouse that we prefer to reserve for dates with the discerning loved ones. And this is why this Valentine’s Day, there is nowhere better than romancing your date with an unforgettably lavish dinner at SKIRT. After all, you need a reliable outlet where the service is impeccable and professional, and SKIRT is ideal with its mix of elegance and chic factor.

This Valentine’s Day, SKIRT presents a 5-course dinner menu (S$350++ for 2) with a bottle of Auris Spumante Brut. Wake your palate up with a trio appetiser, the Titanic – starring the Tuna Tartar with avocado puree that is a brilliant blend of the fish’s freshness and the rich taste of the creamy fruit; luxurious chicken pate accompanied by fragrant homemade roasted chicken crackers; and cured halibut with grapefruit that is a refreshing juxtapose to the first two strong flavours. Quite a myriad of flavours and textures to begin the evening, indeed.

Skirt Steak Sandwich

Succeeding the trio is the Casablance that further pays homage to the ocean’s freshness – generous chunks of crab meat with tomato jelly and an apple sphere beautifully set in a martini glass. Moulin Rouge Champagne & Roses will take your breath away – seared scallop covered with champagne foam and rose petals. Nothing quite like celebrating the love in the air with a gorgeous dish like that. Every bite is pleasure to remember.

When Harry met Sally is when we indulge in a main course of Steak Sandwich – Black onyx sirloin with Marrow crumbs, tomato and onion puree. The meat is served medium, and the marrow and bread crumbs complemented the creaminess of the beef so well.

Last but certainly not least, show your date how intricately delicate and poignantly rich your love is via the dessert of 5 textures of chocolate. We really loved the chocolate ice-cream!

Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro Singapore

Quayside Fish Bar

There has always been a debate over the difference between farm-bred and wild-caught fishes. The former, while much more readily available and affordable, has a higher chance of being contaminated, hence more prone to getting disease. The latter live in their natural habitats out in the open waters, and is hence a lot healthier. We can go on and on about the benefits of wild-caught fishes, but we will leave that for another day. While I am always happy to order wild-caught fishes when I dine out, restaurants in Singapore hardly place an emphasis on it and hence stick to using conventional farm-bred ones.

Quayside Fish Bar Seafood Platter

This is why I am so happy to introduce Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro as it is really a heaven for seafood lovers. Located at the charming Quayside Isle at the luxurious Sentosa Cove enclave, Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro has daily fresh imports of wild-caught seafood and fish from different parts of the world.

Appetising starters include Hokkaido Scallops Crudo (S$19), freshly shucked oysters, and the beautifully-plated Torched Holloumi Cheese (S$18). The pastas (S$28) are too delicious to a fault, and nobody can resist the Baked Half Boston Lobster (S$54). But the highlight of the menu – and something that you must order – is the qsfb’s Fresh Seafood Platter (S$150).
