I visited many outstanding cafes with unique concepts, lovely  interior designs and refreshing menus that I never thought I would have known of.

I don’t know about you, but packing for a holiday always gives me a major headache. There seems to be so many items on the checklist, and I don’t believe I am the only one who wants to pack the whole house into the suitcase.

But having had numerous close shaves with overweight baggages, yet not wanting to put myself in the dreadful situation of needing something that can hardly be found (or too expensive to find) while being miles away from home, I set myself “must-have” lists for various kinds of holidays.

Note: La Villa has closed and it is currently looking for a new location.

Everytime I eat at La Villa, I wonder why I don’t come here more often. Housed within the old school premises of River Valley Primary School, La Villa by the Senso Group is a charming Italian restaurant that not only has a nice interior, but also a beautiful al fresco dining area facing the garden.

Singapore has no shortage of good Italian restaurants, but La Villa might just be one of the better spots in town.

Il Cielo

Il Cielo is located on the 24th floor of Hilton Singapore, right beside the pool. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is very small, cosy and intimate. I also like the fact that the Italian restaurant is very focused. They only have a few dishes under each category of the menu – because they pride themselves on the quality and standard of every item.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Hogwarts, chocolate frogs, platform 9 and 3/4, Olivander’s wands, Firebolt, butterbeer, magic. During my Spring break, I got a chance to fly to sunny state Florida and have a hysterically fun week skipping along from theme parks to theme parks.

One of the highlights was entering the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is a part of the Islands of Adventure at the Universal Studios Resort Orlando.
