Tsui Wah Singapore is opening a new outlet at Jewel Changi Airport and it will be taking over the former premise of PizzaExpress on level 3.

Tsui Wah’s second outlet at The Heeren has been temporarily closed since 16 Dec 2021 due to the leasing issue with the landlord and it is unclear if they will be reopening at The Heeren.

Prairie by Craftsmen is a new cafe & restaurant at Cluny Court near Botanic Gardens which has an outdoor alfresco dine-in concept, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Opened by Craftsmen Specialty Coffee, the new concept took over the former premise of Bar Bar Black Sheep at Cluny Court and they had a soft launch on 20 Jan 2021.

Prairie by Craftsmen has a rather extensive menu. There is a selection of breakfast options as well as pastas and mains including Duck Confit, Ribeye Steak and Fish & Chips.

Cafe Melba is opening a third outlet at Mount Sophia (near Dhoby Ghaut) in March 2021.

Charlie Brown Cafe Singapore is closing on 31 Dec 2020. Located at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, Charlie Brown Cafe is a halal-certified themed restaurant which also sells Snoopy and Peanuts character merchandise.

Other character-themed cafes and restaurants in Singapore that have closed in recent years include Hello Kitty Orchid Garden, Gudetama & My Melody Cafes, and DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe.

Known for serving affordable and authentic Korean dishes, Ajumma’s Korean Restaurant has closed down its original outlet at The Cathay recently and it has officially opened its new location at Bukit Panjang Plaza on 21 Dec 2021.

Ajumma’s is a casual Korean eatery where you can get Korea homestyle cooking minus the frills (and service charge).

Most of the dishes on Ajumma’s menu are affordably priced under S$10 and they include options such as Chicken Bulgogi, Bibimbap, Spicy Ramyeon, and House-Smoked Mackerel.

The Beef Bulgogi (S$10.50) set comes with plump white rice and an assortment of small side dishes. The marinated grilled beef was juicy and savoury, best eaten with rice to balance the saltiness.

The Kimchi Ramyeon (S$8.90+) has a generous portion of noodles, meat, tofu and vegetables.

Canopy Garden Dining has a new pet-friendly outlet at HortPark and it opens today (11 Dec 2020). The new location features an all-day dining restaurant surrounded by lush greenery in HortPark.

Canopy Garden Dining outlet at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park has been around for years and it is a popular hangout for families and friends.

With a seating capacity of up to 200pax, Canopy Garden Dining at HortPark is much bigger than the original outlet. And we have to say that the interior is much nicer than Canopy at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park.

Famous Cantonese congee eatery, Mui Kee Congee, is opening a new virtual noodle concept in Singapore. Mui Kee Noodles is a delivery-only concept by the Les Amis Group with noodles as the star of the restaurant.

Mui Kee Congee first started in Singapore as a pop-up concept at Casa Verde and it has settled as a permanent spot at Shaw Centre. There is still a long queue at the congee eatery every day and Mui Kee Noodles will be the latest addition to satisfy your craving for Cantonese-style noodles.
