The Marmalade Pantry Singapore

Crabmeat Linguine

“Where can I have a meal for under $20 in town?” The answer: The Marmalade Pantry, but for a limited time only. Enjoy 1-for-1 on main courses (complimentary meal will be the lower value of the main course) during dinner every Monday from 6pm – 10pm.

A main course at Marmalade Pantry is around $20 to $28 (excluding the steak & eggs at $38). With the promotion, you pay less than $20 for each main course. For instance, the signature crabmeat linguine is $24, but you only pay $12++ after discount.

I think it’s a fantastic deal and everyone should drop by Marmalade Pantry at Ion Orchard before they end the 1-for-1 promotion. If you are planning to go next Monday, read my previous review on The Marmalade Pantry for more recommendations.

[Closed] Fukuichi Japanese Dining Singapore

Fukuichi Japanese Dining

Nestled in the quiet Triple One Somerset, Fukuichi Japanese Dining serves decent Japanese food at pocket-friendly prices. You can get set lunches such as Tempura Teishoku and Sashimi Teishoku from $20, while bento and dinner sets are between $25-40. I find it very reasonable for the quality and portion.

If I am meeting my friends in Orchard Road, I will definitely go to Fukuichi, it is my newest go-to place when craving for Japanese food.

Hansel & Gretel Singapore

Hansel & Gretel

Words by Marilyn Huang, photographs by ladyironchef

You somehow know that you are in for a night of fun when the first line of the director’s message for the musical you are watching speaks of a nine-month old baby stuck to her boob.

That is exactly the kind of musical Hansel and Gretel is: hilarious, irreverent, spontaneous and like its director, Pam Oei, full of fun and creativity. Nothing binds the people of Singapore like their proud food culture, and what better way to showcase this love of food than through the quintessential food-centric fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel? Only this time, Creative Director Alfian Sa’at, Composer Elaine Chan and first time director Oei have reinvented this timeless tale into what could well be a Singapore’s classic.

So when I first knew that I would be visiting Nestle Headquarters in Vevey Switzerland, I was very excited. Well, I think the word ‘excited’ is an understatement. I was thrilled and very happy.

Not everyone can visit it, of course, and it makes our trip even more special. Let me take you guys on a tour, and give you an exclusive peek of the Nestle Headquarters in Vevey Switzerland.

Journey with Nestle to Switzerland

Switzerland

Visiting Nestle’s headquarters in Switzerland has got to be one of the highlights of my entire year. I mean, how often do you get a chance like that? Not only did we visit the headquarters, we also explored Vevey (a quaint little town by the Lake Geneva), visited the cheese factory, took a tour in Nestle Cailler chocolate factory, tasted Swiss cuisine, and enjoyed the magnificent scenery.

Nestle Headquarters

Nestle, as we all know, is the world’s leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company. Besides having lots of fun, I also had the privilege of learning more about the brand during this trip.

Switzerland is a beautiful country and I hope everyone will get a chance to visit it one day. Meanwhile, I want to share my journey with you through the blog. Join me on an adventure with Nestle to Switzerland!
