Donut lovers, here’s something exciting to look forward to. I’m donut?, the hugely popular Japanese nama donut brand, is coming to Singapore.
Founded by Japanese chef Ryouta Hirako, I’m donut? has become a sensation for its signature nama donuts, which are incredibly soft, light and almost melt-in-your-mouth. Unlike a typical donut, its original brioche-style dough incorporates pumpkin and undergoes a long, low-temperature fermentation before being fried at high heat, resulting in its distinctive fluffy and airy texture.

The brand started in Japan and has since expanded overseas to cities including New York, Taipei and Seoul. Most recently, it made its Southeast Asian debut at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur on 12 September 2026, where more than 200 people reportedly queued before the store even opened.
Besides the signature I’m donut? Original, the brand is also known for flavours such as custard cream, matcha, cacao and pistachio, with different cities receiving their own exclusive creations.

Details on the Singapore location and opening date have yet to be officially confirmed, but judging from the queues at its other overseas openings, we can probably expect plenty of excitement when I’m donut? finally arrives in Singapore.
