Ding Ji Bakery, also known as CNY Goodies SG, is one of the most popular CNY goodies shops in Singapore. They specialise in CNY goodies such as pineapple tarts, peanut cookie and Kueh Bangkit.
This is the season where us Chinese go all out with feasting and no expenses are spared. We only buy the best for ourselves, our families and our friends. There is no time for lousy snacks, and that’s why you can trust Ding Ji Bakery if you are picky with your snacks like we are.
We tried a few of their popular snacks and these are what we like. Get your CNY goodies from their website.
Ding Ji Bakery (CNY Goodies SG)’s CNY goodies are 100% handmade with award-winning recipes, and contain zero preservatives, so they are best eaten fresh and within the month of purchase. Their snacks are also halal-certified.
The bestsellers are Premium Melt-in-your-mouth Pineapple Tart (S$22.90), Nyonya Pineapple Tarts (S$19.90), Premium Kueh Bangkit (S$21.90).
If we could only choose one item, it would definitely be their award-winning premium Melt in Your Mouth Pineapple Tart. These perfect round balls are so addictive! Coated with a layer of egg yolk for that beautiful shiny yellow exterior, the “case” is buttery and super smooth in texture. Encased within is quality pineapple jam that is a fine balance of sweet and sour.
Every bite is a joy, and it is one of the best pineapple tarts we’ve tasted this year. We wish we could have this even after Chinese New Year!
The early bird’s special for these Melt In Your Mouth Pineapple Tarts is S$19.90 per bottle if you get them now, otherwise, they would be S$28.43.
NYONYA PINEAPPLE TART
The open-face pineapple tarts are also known as the Nyonya Pineapple Tart and is a variation that Ding Ji Bakery sells. Premium ingredients are used to bake the tarts, coupled with homemade pineapple jam. The tart base is buttery and crusty, so this is for those who prefer a cookie-like tart base.
The early bird’s special for these Nyonya Pineapple Tarts is S$19.90 per bottle if you get them now, otherwise, they would be S$28.43.
PREMIUM KUEH BANGKIT
These “white biscuits” that are commonly seen in houses during Chinese New Year are kueh bangkit, and these airy pastries are concocted using the best tapioca flour and coconut cream. The end result is a crispy cookie that crumbles and melts in your mouth upon touching your tongue. The sweetness is just right, and didn’t leave us feeling gelat.
Premium Fried Crab Sticks
Strips of crab sticks are hand-cut, then deep-fried till crispy. Seasoned with an in-house concoction, these savoury crab sticks are slightly salty and very addictive! It is definitely a great snack to munch on when watching your favourite drama or with beer.
These Premium Fried Crab Sticks are very affordably priced at S$15.90 per bottle—a relatively cheap option as compared to the many other offerings in the market.
Oh, boy. Do we love these peanut cookies! The peanut is so fragrant and satisfying with every bite, we couldn’t stop eating! We must say they are really crumbly too. You know how some peanut cookies are so sticky and “cakey”, they just end up sticking to your teeth? Not these from Ding Ji Bakery, and that’s another reason to cart out a tub of these peanut cookies for yourself!
CNY Goodies SG provides free delivery for orders above S$100 (standard delivery charge S$8). Otherwise, you can opt for self-collection at their premise.
