Joining in on the soufflé pancake trend is Fluff Stack that sits on the basement of the newly renovated F&B section of Suntec City. Pretty in pink with gold accents, the decor of the cafe is as pretty as the pancakes.
But one thing that definitely sets Fluff Stack apart from other soufflé pancake cafés has got to be the price point. While soufflé pancakes tend to be priced at a premium, we love that the ones here start from S$8.80 which is pretty affordable!
First up was the Classic Soufflé Pancakes (S$8.80) which came with the unmistakable jiggle of a good soufflé pancake. The stack of two pancakes was accompanied by honey butter, chantilly cream and maple syrup.
Pillowy and delicate, the plate of cloud is undeniably one of the better ones we’ve had in Singapore. We liked how the honey butter added some saltiness that was a good contrast against all the sweet.
We also got the Oolong Soufflé Pancakes (S$9.80) which is a stack of the same cloud-like pancakes but served with gula melaka boba and oolong crème anglaise. Not as gimmicky as it looked, it was a really well-balanced dessert that tastes the best when all the components are eaten together.
Although the boba provided a great textual variation, we wish the gula melaka flavour was more prominent. The oolong crème anglaise, on the other hand, had some bitter undertones that makes this a good option for those who prefer their desserts on the less sweet side.
Our pancakes came pretty promptly, but we believe it might take slightly longer during peak periods. With its great price point and soufflé pancakes that are not only photogenic but tasty as well, we foresee ourselves coming back to Fluff Stack to try the other flavours!
