Opening its doors to the public on 25 November 2017, Treasures of the Natural World brings you back in time and on an adventure of discovering the various scientific breakthroughs throughout history. A total of 200 prized treasures from the Natural History Museum in London will travel all the way to Singapore for the first time ever.

28TH SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Returning for its 28th edition on 23 November 2017 to 03 December 2017, the 28th Singapore International Film festival is the largest and longest-running international film festival in South East Asia.

Celebrating 112 stories of Southeast Asia and Asia through the world of film, attendees can expect a myriad of activities at the festival such as film screenings, masterclasses, talks and post-show discussions with filmmakers. Tickets start at S$12 per screening.

A CELEBRATION OF YOUTH ORCHESTRAS: SNYO IN CONCERT

Show our young talents some support at A Celebration of Youth Orchestras: SNYO in Concert – To London From America on 12 December 2017 at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Conducted by Peter Stark, this concert will bring you on a trans-Atlantic musical trip through the works of Gershwin, Copland and Vaughan Williams.

A TOUCH OF WILD: ADEDANCE AERIAL 2017 STUDENT SHOWCASE

Presented to you by Adedance Artistic and Aerial Productions, A Touch of Wild: Adedance Aerial 2017 Student Showcase is their first ever student showcase. This showcase will consist of performances by aerialists, bellydancers from The Angelina Tay School of Bellydance and more.

But most importantly, this showcase is organized in support of SOSD Singapore. All ticket proceeds will go to SOSD Singapore and finger food will be provided for guests throughout the performance.

Flying Through Time

FLYING THROUGH TIME

Fly through time at Flying Through Time taking place from 09 December 2017 to 21 January 2018 at the Resorts World Theatre. Directed by world-renowned Director Choi Chul Ki and helmed by local artists such as Joshua Tan and Melody Low, be enthralled by this non-verbal action comedy which tells the universal tale of good versus evil and how love conquers all.

Jurassic Park in Concert

JURASSIC PARK IN CONCERT – FULL MOVIE WITH LIVE ORCHESTRA

A 2 and a half hours concert presented to you by the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, Jurassic Park in Concert has been organized in celebration of the 25th anniversary of this iconic Steven Spielberg film. During the concert, the film will be projected on a large screen whilst the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra plays alongside and in sync the movie.

Songs of the Dragon Kiln

SONGS OF THE DRAGON KILN

A collaboration between the Ding Yi Music Company and Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Songs of the Dragon Kiln is a performance which will trace this forgotten aspect of Singapore culture – the dragon kiln. The performance will be conducted and directed by Mr Quek Ling Kiong.

Tickets start at S$25 excluding booking fees, and concession rates for students, NSFs and seniors are at S$20 per ticket.

WBAS YOUTH BAND FESTIVAL

The WBAS Youth Band Festival finale concert – coming to you on 19 December 2017 at the Esplanade – features over 200 outstanding youth musicians under the baton of Professor Mark Heron, ME4 Ignatius Wang and Mdm Tan Soh Hwa.

The repertoire for the evening will range from popular wind band works such as Robert Sheldon’s Choreography to works such as Frank Ticheli’s Symphony No. 2.

As silly at it sounds, the 9th edition of the Banana Relay is happening at Kallang Riverside Park on 16 December 2017. And no, it isn’t about you running a relay in a banana suit but rather your team will have fun running a relay using a real banana as a baton!

Although registration has closed on 08 November 2017, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to head down to Kallang Riverside Park on 16 December 2017 to show all participants some support.

On 08 to 10 December 2017, head on down to Park Avenue Hotels & Suites for the Oceania Classic Powerlifting Championships 2017. Hosted by Powerlifting Singapore, the Oceania Classic Powerlifting Championship incorporates the Pacific Invitational II and Singapore Powerlifting Open 2 – 2017.
