Boston, one of the oldest cities in the United States, is so charmingly beautiful. Every street and every corner has something so alluring that it is indescribable.

Here are some recommended activities and places for you to visit in Boston: A freedom trail that covers 16 significant historical sites, a well-known seafood restaurant that sells Boston’s best clam chowder, a café that has collaborated with 13 other top chefs, a bustling local marketplace that opens till nighttime and a shop that sells amazing cupcakes. Au Chocolat Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Au Chocolat

Au Chocolat, opened by the folks behind Ku De Ta and Catalunya, occupies a huge space at a corner of Marina Bay Sands. It is divided into two sections: a retail confectionery store where you can find all sorts of delicious snacks – such as slice cakes, cupcakes, gelato, truffle – and fun merchandise. The other half is the bistro which has an all-day dining menu.

Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong

Intercontinental Grand Stanford

I am a firm believer that staying in a good hotel completes the travel experience. Of course, quality comes at a price and many people would baulk at paying so much for a room. But when you get to enjoy the hotel’s amenities and have a good night’s rest, you will understand that the money is well-spent.

For me, one of the places to stay in Hong Kong has to be Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong. The location of the 5-star hotel makes it a favourite among businessmen and leisure travellers. It is positioned on the fringe of Tsim Sha Tsui and is within walking distance – just a 10 minutes walk to East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station – to the shopping, business and entertainment districts. Furthermore, the hotel offers breathtaking views of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour.

Editor’s Note March 2013

Steak

There are few things better than a perfectly cooked slab of juicy, tender and well seasoned steak. Food trends come and go, but steaks will always be on the menu.

March 14th is known as Steak and BJ Day. But you know what? We are going to bring it a level up by declaring March as the month of steak. Why have a day for steaks when you can celebrate it for a month?

Food lovers in Singapore have reason to rejoice. Over the last 12 months, we have seen a number of restaurants specialising in steaks – Wooloomooo, Skirt at W Hotel, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House – opening in town. We will be telling you where to go for the best steaks in town, and for those on a budget, where you can find the more affordable steak houses.

Also, we will be sharing insights on understanding the different cuts of steaks. What is the difference between ribeye and fillet mignon? Which is the best cut of steak? Look forward to our special feature. In addition, we will be sneaking into the kitchen to get tips from chefs on how to cook the perfect steak.

Join us on our journey – on instagram, twitter and facebook – as we go on a mission to find the best steaks in Singapore.
