LIC Food Event @ Persimmon

For those who missed the Obolo dessert outing, here’s another for you guys, LIC is having the next food outing event at Persimmon at Dec 6, Saturday lunch 11.30am! From the owners of Epicurious, Persimmon serves modern Singaporean cuisine, in a swanky kopitiam-style restaurant. Truly an East-meet-West inspiration. The usual 3 course set lunch menu is $28, but LIC had work out a multi course sampling size menu.

1. Amuse Bouche of a little shooter glass of our mushroom soup with hsao xing creme, accompanied by a little something else (chef’s creation)

2. Mixed starter platter with 3 of our starters:

  • Chicken salad: Hainanese-style poached chicken; fresh local herbs & mesclun greens; rice crisps; chilli, garlic, ginger, soy & lime; sesame and olive oils
  • Crabcake: crab claw meat, white pepper, garlic, ginger, spring onion, chilli; mango & lotus salsa; lotus crisp
  • Caprese salad: roma tomato; mozzarella; black tofu; green chilli pesto

3. Pasta: Linguine laksa pesto prawn & clam; cream & white wine (sampling portion)

4.  Main Course:

  • Chicken roulade: boneless chicken thigh; “tandoori” marinade; basmati rice pilaf; green mango raita
  • Mini beef rendang Wellington (sampling portion)

5. Dessert: Panna Cotta coconut cream, gula Melaka, sago pearls, yam & sweet potato

6. Regular Coffee or Tea
