LIC Food Event @ Limon

I’ve made a verbal promises to all the folks who were present for my previous outing that I would do my next one, which was this one, very soon, probably in June I said. And then June passed by in a wink and came July. But July seemed to disappear pretty fast too! And that’s why we have August.

One of the reason for the delay of the outing was due to the lazy-genes that I’ve inherited. And the other was because I was looking for a place that could accommodate us and still serve good food. And so, the next ladyironchef food outing event will be on the 10th August, with details of the menu as follows:

Revised Menu

A Shot of Gazpacho con vino blanco

Traditional Spanish cold soup with a mild white wine twist served in a baby coconut husk

Combo Tapas

Champinones con ajo: Sauteed garlic mushrooms with lemon sauce

Chorizo con curry verde: Spanish Bibao (Sausage) in Thai green curry sauce

Gambas al ajillo de moda thai: King Prawns cooked with olive oil, lemongrass, garlic, black pepper, nameko mushroom, broccoli & basil leaf garnish

Soup

Tom Kha Guy: Classic Thai sour & mildly spiced coconut soup with chicken meat

Mains

Bacalao: Pan-fried blue cod fillet dressed in olive oil, black pepper, chopped red& green peppers & white wine tomato base sauce. Accompanied with boiled asparagus & mashed potatoes

With sampling portions of Moo Curry: Pork & potato cubes pan-fried with red curry sauce, tomato sauce & red peppers, Som Tum: Mango and papaya strips in sour and spicy sauce, and Garlic fried spaghetti

Sharing Tom Yum Paella (4 persons to 1)

Dessert Combo

Crema Catalana con frescas

Flourless Almond Lemon Cake

Lemongrass Jello Shot

Beverage

Limon’s House special Sangria (u.p $16 per glass) or Lemongrass mocktail

The dinner will be on the 10th August (Monday, public holiday) at $32nett per person. Everything is done in sampling portions so that we get to try a variety of dishes.

Drop me a sms at 9623 2581 to confirm your place or should you have any enquiries. All are welcome, and feel free to bring along your friends too! Please let me know how many people you are bringing along, and if there’s food allergies. This outing will be capped at 30 people, and reservation will be stopped on 8th August.

    One day I will be in Singapore the same time as one of your food outings and then… I’ll have a true taste of the Lady Iron Chef Experience (L.I.C.E.? Oops, probably not, haha)

    P.S. I came up with the term above before I realise what the acronym stood for. Honest! :P

    LFB: you will be in Penang for that week right? oh yes, i think it will be easier for u to tell me when u are coming down den i plan one outing specially for you :) Right, I believe u on the term. hahahahha
