Established in 2012, The Market Grill along Telok Ayer Street offers a menu of classic meat and seafood including signature flown-in live Boston Lobsters and seasonal cuts of steak.

What you can expect from The Market Grill by Unlisted Collection is hearty and delicious meat and seafood that are grilled to perfection by executive chef Kenneth Lin.

A pioneer to introduce lobster rolls in Singapore, The Market Grill dishes out a solid lobster roll. 500g of lobster are stuffed into a toasted brioche roll that is lightly coated with herbed mayonnaise. To complete the dish, the magnificent roll is paired with a side of crunchy green salad and thick golden fries.

This is one of the best lobster rolls that you can get in Singapore.

Other than their signature lobster roll, The Market Grill also offers fantastic whole lobsters, burgers and steaks.

You can enjoy the live Boston Lobsters in three different styles—steamed, char-grilled or Thermidor. The whole lobster is accompanied with garlic butter sauce, greens and mashed potatoes.

There are various steak cuts available on the menu including USDA Prime Striploin (S$68), Rangers Valley Ribeye (S$88) and Blackmore Wagyu Karubi (S$58) and each steak comes with onion confit, and mashed potato.

The steaks are seasoned with salt and pepper and superbly grilled on the ‘Woodstone’ charbroiler. It comes with Chimichurri or Béarnaise sauce, but there is really no need for any sauce when the steak is good on its own.

The dishes at The Market Grill are simple yet perfectly executed and super comforting. It is a place which will never disappoint you and you can always be assured of a great meal.

Fans of the classic lobster roll, today is your day.

Visualise a toasted buttered brioche that is stuffed to the brim with succulent chunks of lobster meat and doused in a copious amount of mayonnaise or melted butter. Sounds incredible, doesn’t it?

While Singapore is home to a plethora of amazing food, the lobster roll scene could be better. More commonly found in our western counterparts such as New York City and London, places that serve up a solid lobster roll are hard to come by on our sunny little island.

If you are a fan of this luxurious snack (yes, snack, because nobody gets full from just one roll), you’d be glad to know that slowly but surely, there are more places in Singapore that sell lobster rolls. We’ve rounded up some of our favourites in this post.

BURGER & LOBSTER

Hailing from London, the much anticipated Burger & Lobster has finally landed on our shores in Singapore at Jewel Changi Airport and it isn’t hard to understand what the massive hype is about.

Served in a buttery and toasted brioche roll, the lobster roll is stuffed with juicy chunks of lobster tossed in Japanese mayo and served up with a side of crispy golden-brown fries and house salad.

Jewel Changi Airport
78 Airport Boulevard, #05-203
Singapore 819666

CHUNKY LOBSTERS

Chunky Lobsters is one of the more wallet-friendly options on this list that aims to make seafood affordable for the masses. They also do up their lobster rolls in three interesting ways: Chunky’s Original, Chunky’s Connecticut and Chunky’s Cheezy.

Great for people who want to indulge in a lobster roll without breaking the bank!

DANCING CRAB

Dancing Crab’s Lobster Roll comes with a 100g of lobster claw and tail meat served in a superb brioche bun. Oozing with buttery aroma and toasted with a fragrant char, this is an all-time favourite.

What makes it even better is the addictive and crunchy Cajun fries that come along with it!

Luke’s Lobster is finally opening in Singapore at Shaw House next month. Luke’s Lobster Singapore is brought in by lifestyle company Caerus Holding, the regional partner of Lady M ad they are the ones who brought New York’s famous cake boutique, Lady M to Singapore.

Luke’s Lobster Singapore will seat about 30 diners, with numbers reduced to 15 to 20 seats because of safe distancing measures during Covid-19.

For those of you who haven’t tried Luke’s Lobster before, they are best known for their lobster rolls, crab rolls and shrimp rolls. The Lobster Roll is made of claw and knuckle meat and comes slathered with lemon butter and a light mayo dressing which does not overwhelm the taste of the sweet lobster flesh.

PINCE & PINTS

Mirroring a similar concept to Burger & Lobster in London, Pince & Pints is dedicated to serving the lobster everything under one roof. The buns used here are specially made fresh by a local bakery and are fluffy, soft and warm; perfect for holding together all those tender chunks of fresh, sweet lobster.

THE CLIFFORD PIER

The Clifford Pier serves up decent lobster rolls too. Drenched in a rich and creamy hollandaise sauce and coupled with a side of shoestring truffle fries and salad, The Clifford Pier’s lobster roll makes for a hearty meal.

THE MARKET GRILL
